The concerned canuk primitive has been busy wringing their hands over jury duty, and is tired. After managing to serve on a whole five juries in the last few months, they'd like to voice their concerns with the head primitive wrangler, Skins.

Getting tired of the Jury thing
Frivolous complaints interrupting a relaxing evening - most "alerts" end up being defeated.
Yes - I do the "jury" thing - but I never get to see who the complainants are.
I almost always vote to "let it stand" -
heck
this is a discussion board, there will be differences of opinion
It appears to be all automated now, I suspect Skinner does not even realize what is going on.
OH -
just noticed in the top frame
"No whining about DU."
hope this is not considered a "whine"
If I get a suspension of privileges
I guess I'll find out.

3. I do not want to opt out - I know I can if I wish to do so.
.
.
.
Hoping that Skinner will pick it up.
I'm quite sure Skinner has an app that will notify him whenever "skinner" appears in a thread title or in the text of a thread.
I'd be disappointed in him if he didn't.
I love reading about how they think Skins cares. It warms the cockles of my heart.

4. Wait a minute. You served on 5 juries.

5. You've been on five juries. You must be exhausted.

7. I did not count - but what is your point?
these have been within the last few months,
I've been on DU for a decade.
" Wait a minute. You served on 5 juries."
you do not indicate whether or not you think that is minimal or excessive.
as an aside, I do not mind at all that anyone checks out my profile/transparency whatever.
Actually, I wish MORE would "check me out" so to speak.
back to the " Wait a minute. You served on 5 juries." thing
want to elaborate a little?
I'm not overly impressed with this "jury" system,
but it seems that's what we have to deal with for now.
If you do not wish to respond in the thread, PM works . . .

10. I don't use alert at all - I DO respond for Jury duty
For some reason I'm getting a lot of Jury duty lately.
Somehow I do not see that as a good thing.
Flattered? - not at all
As I indicated before, most are frivolous, and your comment
" . . . of using it because someone insulted me . . "
pretty well describes the "alerts" I have been selected to make a decision on.
I will continue to participate in the Jury thing for now
but It ain't a pleasant experience.
Change is needed there, but until I can figure out a better way that will be acceptable to Skinner - I guess I'm in for the long haul.

11. My dear ConcernedCanuk...
I know you know about opting out.
So, do it!
I enjoy the juries, mostly, and the ones that I cannot figure out, I get out of them.
Life is too short to not enjoy your DU experience!
I do believe Skinner is aware of what is going on...
Here, Calpig is swooping in with another dose of Skins Caresâ„¢.

12. NOT going to opt out.
as much as I am not in favor of the process
it's all we have for for now.
I'll do what I can.
