Which of the ten commandments are you?

I am:

You Are "Thou Shalt Not Bear False Witness"

You don't just think that honesty is the best policy, you think it's the only policy.

You believe that it's important to be truthful, especially with yourself and the ones you love most.

No doubt about it, the truth is sometimes quite ugly. But we need to face how ugly it is before we work to change it.

You think the world would be a better place if all the lying and deception stopped. Let's lay the cards out on the table.

Which one are you?

You may or may not have the most honorable parents, but you try to respect and honor them whenever possible.
In general, you think that people should focus on their families more. Charity begins at home.

You also believe that younger generations should do a better job taking care of their elders.
It saddens you to see how older people are treated in most cultures. You think it's truly a disgrace.

You are a very peaceful person, and you try to avoid hurting a fly if possible.
You believe every life is sacred, and you wish there was no killing in the world.

You have a kind heart and a passion for social justice. You wish things were more fair.
It breaks your heart to know about hunger, poverty, disease, and violence. You are working towards change!

WTH????

Our people look for a cause to believe in. Is it a third party we need, or is it a new and revitalized second party, raising a banner of no pale pastels, but bold colors which make it unmistakably clear where we stand on all of the issues troubling the people?***Ronald Reagan

Eupher, You Are "Thou Shalt Not Covet"

You believe that people are too materialistic and too envious these days.
No matter what, the person who ends up with the most toys still dies.

You think it's important to deal with your own life and spiritual path - not how you stack up against your neighbor.
Comparing yourself to others always brings problems. You try bring your focus inward.

TRUTH, what is the truth anyway.

Some very nasty people use the truth to harm others.   ----Mary I saw your husband leaving the No TELL MOTEL with your best friend.------Some tell the truth, Whistle Blowers to get out of trouble.

Then the age old white lie problem parents have had to deal with for eons.   On one hand we tell our kids to all ways be truthful, then give them a talking to when the kids blurt out that someone is funny looking, [something you also think but is never  said to the pesons face]    Here is where the WHITE LIES come in.

How do children tell the difference of  a made up lie from a white lie. We tell them that we must respect the Feelings of others and a white lie will make them feel good.   Kids that get in trouble now believe that if they tell a white lie that will make them feel good, and get them out of trouble.

Truth VS what a person sees or hears is hard to come by.  This is why eye witnesses to a crime may all  be telling the truth but all the story's are different.  Have to keep witnesses separate from each other or they can contaminate each others memories, subliminal suggestion.

You Are "Remember the Sabbath Day"

You may or may not be a religious person, but you believe that everyone deserves a day of rest.
You think balance is the key to life. It's just as bad to overwork as it is to underwork.

You think a day of contemplation (and prayer, if applicable) makes everyone better off.
If we slowed down more, we'd be happier people. You try to slow down at least one day a week.

Not.   :mental:  I am go go go all the time.  I do go to church though on Sunday............

vesta, have you really made it to the sixth or seventh decade of life without knowing the answer to that question?

My son knew the definition of "truth", and the importance of telling the truth, before he was 5 years old.

All so true Big Dog but at times telling the truth gets your Ass in a sling and to remain quite about the truth makes you a liar.

What the heck was the name of the movie where a man had to tell the truth for 24 hours ???   Very funny and  all so true.

Now there are so called pathological liars out there, I have to ask do they believe they are telling lies or have they in their mind believe what they say is true.

People can direct a persons mental make up, brain washing, or subliminal suggestion.

Remember all the trials of people running child care centers.   9 out of 10 of the interviewers led the children into false memory's, the kids watched the interviewer to see when any question asked was greeted with a smile or frown.

Adults do the same, A good manipulator can cause all the scams on the well educated to believe in them.  A few years ago a Brain surgeon was taken in on those scams from overseas.   Took his life savings, he had been manipulated to believe what was imposable was the truth, yet he threw common sense out the window to make  some bad mistakes.

Reason is  why when people tell me they and only them have the TRUTH I back off and wonder just what their truth is.
