No contract cell phone advice needed
« on: May 12, 2013, 06:28:06 PM »
My contract with Verizon is up next month, and I'm seriously considering going with a no contract service. I would like a smart phone;but can do without. Does anyone here have any experience with these?

I have a straight talk, which I might change. My dad has a smartphone, which he likes...

I looked at some ST reviews...and they were horrible; but I think those were smartphone users complaining about "unlimited" not really being "unlimited".

Tracfone is dependable and affordable.  The only issues I had with them was coverage when I was on the road every day, but that was nearly a decade ago.  They've probably improved since then.

My family and I share a plan.  We are changing to tracphone as our contracts expire.  People I know in this area are happy with theirs.  I'm tired of increasing costs and being pushed into a smartphone.  I don't need one.  The kids do.  We can get individualized plans.

A lot of people buy way more phone then they need and services they rarely use..
