Our old friend Buzz Clik gets it!

Why aren't we fighting wingnut insanity?

For the last four decades, the GOP has been getting crazier by the day and the sane have done virtually nothing to stop them.

Teabaggers are now embedded in the House of Representatives and, due to gerrymandering, will probably be running it until the next census in 2020. There is virtually no (legal) way to push them aside. Add to that Fox “news,” hate radio and the rest of the right-wing echo chamber, the mainstream media’s impotence, and we end up with democracy gasping for air.

So here are my questions. Why aren’t we treating this as a fight for the survival of sanity? And if we decided to do so, exactly what would/could we do that wouldn’t make us as insane as them?

I can’t answer these questions. Any ideas?
The usual Cyrano stupidity; but this made it worth bringing over:

the mainstream media’s impotenceliberal bias, and we end up with ademocracy socialist state drowning in debt gasping for air.

But, under the name of ‘liberalism’, they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.” - Norman Thomas, U.S. Socialist Party presidential candidate 1940, 1944 and 1948

They went over the cliff a long time ago,

but it didn't stop them. With the exception of MSNBC, I don't see much of a fight going on.

So this dummy doesn't think the liberal media is biased enough.

Thank you.

Labeling all your opponents as insane doesn't really sound right in a democracy. Sounds perfect for a soviet style tyranny.
So go ahead, tell 50% of the electorate they are insane if they don't support you politically. Lets see how that plays with the voters.

Pssst... hey dummie? Yeah, I'm talking to you dummie! Over here. C'mon... over here. Let me let you in on a little secret. When you think the majority of people are insane and crazy and your little group isn't, that is a really, really, really, clear sign that just maybe you ain't all there. Want proof? Last poll I looked at:

Self described conservative: 36%
Self described liberal: 21%
Self described moderate: 38%
Don't know: 5%

So that means that 74 percent of the folks are not you. The other 5% are probable like underground kitty and don't have a clue whether they are human or not. Not looking good for you dummies!!!

Nine out of ten engineers I know are Conservative. That Is a group that can be no more reality based.
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

The engineering department is about the only college department that you are likely to find conservative professors.

25+ years ago, When I was in college, I would say that most engineering professors were not Liberals of the batshit DUmmy variety. Some seemed liberal leaning but understood that you don't get something for nothing. Everything is a tradeoff.

I would guess that nowadays, most engineering professors would be Conservative and/or Libertarian. The Liberal ones are the ones trying to push the "green" technology. They haven't learned the part about economic viability.

Tell ya what, DUmmies, if limiting the intrusion of government into my life, the freedom of self-determination, and the ability to pursue what path I choose to lead without harming others makes me insane, well then lock my ass up and throw away the key, cause I'm nuttier than squirrel shit.
