Their definition of 'Smart women' is 'Women that agree with them,' ours is more along the lines of 'Women who can think clearly and independently,' so right off the top we aren't really talking about the same thing.

I'm on the record as saying that I really like Elton John (even after all of these years, he still has far more musical ability than I could ever hope to have).  IIRC, he himself said that conservatives are far more accepting of he and his partner than liberals are.

I think I'll answer each of those stupid claims made by this DUmmy:
"Canada"
I vacation there every summer, my family has a cabin there for that purpose. Nice place, though their healthcare leaves a lot to be desired.
"Advanced Degrees"
Not sure what you're getting at here, but I have a Masters.
"Financial Aid"
Financial aid helped me greatly in college. I love financial aid, as long as it's given out based on merit rather than on just filling racial quotas.
"Philanthropy"
I love philanthropy, individual acts of generosity done entirely out of one's free will. Studies show that Republicans greatly exceed Democrats in terms of charitable giving. Liberals hate philanthropy, they prefer mandatory wealth redistribution by the government.
"Elton John"
Some of his songs are alright, but his public statement that all religion should be outlawed pissed me off.
"Rachel Maddow"
I dislike her because she's a drunken, attention- seeking Socialist hack, but there are plenty of other liberal media personalities that I feel more contempt towards.
"Married couples who don't want children."
I have no problem with that, as long as they don't achieve that through regularly terminating their pregnancies.
"Reusable shopping bags"
I have no problem with that, though I am rather annoyed at the leftists who claim that paper and plastic bags should be outlawed and reusable bags should be the only option.
"Unions"
They did a lot of good at one time (i.e. Helping to end child labor, getting the five- day work week, etc.), but that was decades ago. Unions are antiquated, and now have a tendency to do more harm than good, especially public- sector unions that hold everyone in their area hostage to thei demands when they go on strike.
"Arbor Day"
No problem with that. Rather silly holiday, but harmless.
"Green Energy"
I'm all for green energy, as long as it can be implemented in an effective, realistic, cost- efficient way. Problem is, much more research is needed in order for it to really meet those requirements.
"Harry Potter"
I LOVE the Harry Potter series. I first started reading them in 2001, and read each of the last three books literally as soon as they came out. I saw each of the movies at least once in theaters (In fact, I attended the midnight premieres of the last two films), and have them all on DVD. The Harry Potter section of Universal's Islands of Adventure theme park is magnificent. My favorite character is Hagrid, with Luna Lovegood in close second. Shall I go on?
"The Clinton"
You're getting a little close to the truth here. Bubba Bill is a drunken, womanizing moron, though his policies weren't as bad as some other Democratic presidents. Hillary is an incompetent, power-hungry, self- centered shrew who got a lot of good people killed at Banghazi.
"the Carters"
Jimmy was incompetent, but he's done good work with Habitat for Humanity.
"Teachers"
My mother is a teacher about to retire. I love teachers that are actually good at what they do and teach kids things they can actually use, like reading and writing. I have a problem with teacher's unions, though (As does my mother, because she left her teacher's union after she got tred of how overly political it became), as they appear to care a great deal more about increasingly fatter paychecks with zero accountability for their members and protecting the child molestors within their ranks from facing any kind of punishment for their actions than they do about ensuring kids get the best education possible.
"Children"
I love children. I am currently interning as one of the leaders of my church's youth program. Working with kids and teens is one of the great joys of my life. If you want to see a side that hates children, try looking at the Left. They've waged war on the Boy Scouts, sought to legalize child pornography, and demand that pedophiles be let off with probation and counseling and not spend a single minute inside a prison cell. In fact, some leftists in the entertainment industry actually try and make jokes relating to child molestation (i.e. The TV show 'Family Guy' featuring the character Herbert the Pervert). The only uses the Left has for children involve using them as political props, sexualizing them at increasingly younger ages, and brainwashing them into becoming fellow leftists.
"Smart Women"
Don't have a problem with smart women. I hope to marry one some day.
"Main Street"
Don't have a problem with it.
"Disabled people"
I have a couple mild learning disabilities, and a great deal of sympathy towards the disabled. In contrast, the left, especially liberals in the entertainment business, love making heartless jokes about the disabled. Shortly before the 2004 election, lefties began circulating a pamphlet that said "Voting for Bush is like competing in the Special Olympics; Even if you win, you're still a retard," with a picture of George W. Bush's face superimposed onto the body of a Special Olympics runner. Then there's Obama's "Special Olympics" joke, and the flat- out inhuman things the DUmmies and other leftists said about Trig Palin.
"Peace"
I don't have a problem with peace, though it should be through victory, and knowing that all real threats to peace and freedom (i.e. Muslim dictators) are no longer a threat. As Patrick Henry famously said, "Is life so dear, or peace so sweet, as to be purchased at the price of chains and slavery? Forbid it, almighty God!"
"NPR"
Never listen to it, don't really care about it. However, I do have a bit of an issue with the fact that a radio station with an obvious left- wing political lean is funded by our tax dollars.
"Al Gore"
I do indeed hate Al Gore. He's a hypocrite (He preaches about conserving energy and such, even as his own enormous Nashville mansion burns through more electricity in a single month than the average American household goes through in an entire year), a colossal windbag, and a con artist who really only cares about himself and his own profits (The main reason why he keeps preaching that everyone purchase carbon offsets is because he owns the company that's the world's largest distributor of carbon offsets; Basically, his approach is "Throw some money at me, and I'll absolve you of your crimes against Mother Earth").
"Change"
We are only against "Change" that we don't see as having positive outcomes.
"Barney Frank"
I'm indeed not fond of Barney Frank. He is corrupt, and sweeps anything under the rug that might embarass him, such as looking the other way while a male prostitution business operating out of his own house.
"the Kindle"
I personally do not use a Kindle. Something about it feels lifeless and artificial, I prefer to read actual books. I don't have anything against other people using a Kindle, though.
"Cyclist"
I go bicycling regularly. I just got back from a morning bike ride an hour and a half ago.
"Grey Poupon"
Don't use it, but don't have a problem with other people using it. Why exactly does the DUmmy think Reublicans hate Grey Poupon?
"Recycling"
I recycle regularly, and am slightly dismayed when I go to public events and see trash cans but not recycling bins. Next!
"Taxes"
The only problems we have with taxes are if we think they are being raised to unreasonable levels, or (And this is a big one with us) if we feel our tax dollars are being used unwisely.
"Yoga"
Don't practice it, think it looks silly. Other people can do it if they like, though.
"France"
First off, a lot of people throughout history have hated France. From Mark Twain (Once described France as having "Neither summer, nor winter, nor morals") to liberal Hispanics today (Cinco de Mayo is a celebration of the Mexican army's victory against France in a crucial battle in the Franco- Mexican War), France has long been the laughingstock of the entire freaking planet. That being said, I have more issues with French politicians (Other than Sarkozy, who's ok) than with the French people as a whole. For the last year, I've been occasionally dating a woman of French descent, and I myself wear a Huguenot cross around my neck as a tribute to my ancestors who were French Huguenots.
"Gun Control"
I do indeed hate the idea of laws which will only disarm law- abiding citizens while doing next to nothing to stop actual gun crimes. Most guns used in gun- related crimes are illegally owned in the first place.
"Animal Rights"
Mistreatment of animals is indeed wrong. I'm glad Michael Vick went to prison for what he did and was rather dismayed that he was allowed to return to the NFL so quickly. However, I most definitely hate the rabid animal- rights freaks from groups like PETA who portray non- vegans and people who enjoy going to zoos or circuses as evil, sadistic monsters. I am also against the way PETA tries to turn kids against their parents (i.e. They circulated a pamphlet for kids in which fathers who go fishing are compared to child abductors). They demonize people who eat meat or wear fur as evil people, yet have no problem openly providing financial support to violent terrorist groups such as Earth First. Also, they weep over rats, cockroaches, and dung beetles, but I wonder how many of those hypocrites fully support abortion?
"The WNBA"
Don't watch them (Not really into sports very much), but don't have a problem with other people watching them.
"The Truth"
Leftists in general, and especially the DUmmies, view lying as a way of life. In the months before the 2008 election, there was a DU thread in which one DUmmy encouraged the rest to keep parroting the "Bristol Palin= Trig's real mother" rumor even if it was proven false (Which of course it was), on the grounds that it's okay to spread a vicious, reputation-destroying lie about someone if you want to keep that person out of the White House. Then, of course, there were the liberals who tried to "Infiltrate" Tea Party rallies waving racist signs as a way to try and frame the actual Tea Party movement as being racist.
"Sasha & Malia Obama"
I have no problem at all with Sasha or Malia, and don't know any other conservative who has a problem with them. A politician's children should not be a target for insults or hate, as they have been thrust into the spotlight against their will and done nothing to deserve our scorn, unless it's a politician's thirtysomething son getting busted for DUI or something. In contrast, consider all the despicable and flat- out evil things the DUmmies and liberals in general said about Sarah Palin's children. Not even a mentally- disabled baby was spared from their venom.
That about covers it.
