Michigan woman charged with making false report now accused of health care, financial fraud

A woman in Michigan's Thumb has been charged with fraud, just days after being charged with making a false report of rape.

Sara Ylen's credibility has been under scrutiny. After nearly 10 years in prison, a man convicted of raping her, James Eugene Grissom, was released last fall after authorities learned she had made up sexual-assault allegations in California.

The latest case filed Monday in Sanilac County accuses Ylen of health care fraud by making a false statement.

She's also charged with crimes based on false pretenses, some involving more than $20,000. It's unknown whether the Lexington resident has an attorney.

This is sickening. A woman makes false accusation of rape and commits multiple frauds. People like her make me sick. She trivializes real rape victims suffering.

I think a good way to stop stuff like this is for the person making the false accusation to have to do the falsely accused rapists prison term plus whatever she is given for the fraud charge.

 I need some help here, I remember being told that a Marine guarding a prisoner, if the prisoner got away the Marine had to serve his sentence, but do not remember how it worked if the prisoner were captured and brought back.     The Castle in Portsmouth holding hundreds of military felons, had the Yard Birds telling story's about some prisoner getting away from a Marine guard and all hell breaking out.

I have to agree that a false accusation is an assult on those they accuse.   However few will come forward to admit their crime unless they are given immunity.  Surprises me when some come forward to say they lied about a person who spent 20 years in prison for a crime they did not commit and these people manage to survive the anger of the family of the person they lied about.
