On the two occasions where the captives were allowed outside, Castro made the women don disguises and walk to the home’s detached garage.

 Investigators pulled more than 200 pieces of evidence from Castro’s two-story torture chamber on Seymour Ave. — including a detailed and damning note written by the suspect in 2004, the Daily News has learned.

 The four-page missive implicated Castro as the lone suspect in the horrific case, and convinced detectives they had the right man behind bars, a source told The News.

Her father, 75-year-old Ismail Figueroa, told The News that Castro once knocked his daughter down a staircase — leaving her with a broken arm and separated shoulder when they lived upstairs in his home.

The mother of the Castro brothers, Lillian Rodriguez, was hiding Wednesday behind the locked door of her Cleveland home.

 Neighbor Lucy Roman, 65, said the woman was a member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses, and was often seen going to church or gardening outside her home.

 She described eldest brother Pedro as a heavy drinker who lived with his mom and rode a bicycle around the neighborhood.

Cleveland kidnapping suspect pleads not guilty to 977 counts

The new indictment encompasses all the years of the women's alleged captivity, whereas the previous indictment covered only the first four and a half years, the Cuyahoga County prosecutor's office said.

Among the charges are two counts of aggravated murder, in which Castro is accused of intentionally causing the termination of a pregnancy.

Castro also faces 512 counts of kidnapping, 446 counts of rape, seven counts of gross sexual imposition, six counts of felonious assault, three counts of child endangerment and one count of possessing criminal tools.

The Cleveland man accused of holding three women captive in his home for about a decade agreed to plead guilty in a deal to avoid the death penalty.

In exchange, prosecutors said 53-year-old Ariel Castro would be sentenced to life without parole plus 1,000 years.

A judge accepted the pleas and declared Castro guilty. Sentencing is Aug. 1.

Castro had been charged in a 977-count indictment. He had been scheduled for trial Aug. 5 on allegations that include repeatedly restraining the women and punching and starving one woman until she had a miscarriage. The former school bus driver also was charged with hundreds of counts of kidnapping and rape, plus assault and other counts.

Ariel Castro should be put into a wood chipper, feet first.

I swear to God, I do NOT understand why the prosecution didn't seek the death penalty. That would've meant a lengthier trial since Castro would not have been able to plead guilty, but that animal needs to be PUT DOWN.

The needle would be too easy, though. Drawing and quartering (which includes emasculation) would be more appropriate.
