Phantom illness?
« on: May 01, 2013, 09:27:28 AM »
I thought I was catching the creeping crud last night. Chills, vomiting (just a small amount), went to bed at 7:30.

I suspected and now believe it was allergies. The trees and grasses are really loading the air with pollen this year, and I'm allergic to both of them.

I feel fine today - so far, anyway.

Would an allergy reaction go away that fast if it is still in the air?

What about a touch of food poisoning?  That can give you chills and vomiting too.

First question: Who knows?

Second question: Had the same thing as my wife. She's OK.

I feel good right now.

Immune system is different for every person, just because your wife is ok does not mean you have no allergy she does not have.  One can have a family. that a big one, that only one member is allergic to bee stings.  One member can eat tomatoes and break out in hives after eating tomatoes for 40 years.
