Obama’s ‘Red Line’ on Syria Becomes ‘Range of Options’

By  Eliana Johnson April 30, 2013 11:13 AM

Despite evidence that the Assad regime has used chemical weapons against its people, President Obama today said that the United States will not intervene in the conflict until both the administration and the international community can establish that the Assad regime has used chemical weapons.

Even if those facts were established, the president — who previously said the use of chemical weapons would constitute a “red line” — was more cautious today about whether even definitive proof of their use would be sufficient to change his administration’s calculus in the region. “It would cause us to rethink the range of options that are available to us,” he said.

Looks like Joe Biden's man with a "spine of steel" just voted "present" again...
"We make men without chests and expect of them virtue and enterprise. We laugh at honor and are shocked to find traitors in our midst. We castrate and then bid the geldings to be fruitful."

C.S. Lewis

A community may possess all the necessary moral qualifications, in so high a degree, as to be capable of self-government under the most adverse circumstances; while, on the other hand, another may be so sunk in ignorance and vice, as to be incapable of forming a conception of liberty, or of living, even when most favored by circumstances, under any other than an absolute and despotic government.

John C Calhoun, "Disquisition on Government", 1840

The only red line he has is to attack those who disagree with him.

King Hussein would have been better off keeping his pie hole shut about "red lines" and "game changers".

Hey, his  "spine of steel" is in the form of an old fashion screen door spring......very flexible.

On top of that, even seizing the damn' things without getting in trouble up to our eyeballs is pretty close to 'mission impossible.'  They are located at many, many sites and if Assad just decides to be coy with them, it'll turn into a wild goose chase in hostile land in about zero seconds elapsed time.  I gather there are also Russian military personnel at the Syrian air defense sites, and unless he makes some secret squirrel deal with Putin to pull them out ahead of any attack, I see this rapidly becoming a bloody cluster**** of legendary proportions.

I don't even know what that means, how many ranges of options does he think he has.

I think what he meant to say was "yeah, it was pretty stupid to talk smack like that when I don't have the ass to back it up...my bad."

He keeps moving the goal line on the deals he makes with congress, no reason to think he won't keep moving his red lines too.

Idiot?  No.  He knows what happened.  He signed off on it.  Obama's a liar.  He lies about most things and the media and the public lets him get away with it.

For US.  **** them.

The MSM and even Fox are still beating the drum to drag us into it, presenting "70,000 dead" as all victims of the government despite all the insurgent attacks, car bombs, and purges that are just as deadly and just as big a contributor to it as anything Assad does.
