Man loses life savings playing carnival game
http://www.thv11.com/news/article/262854/288/Man-loses-life-savings-playing-carnival-game

Quote
DERRY, NH (CNN/WBZ) -- A New Hampshire man says his trip to the carnival was a horror show where he ended up losing his life savings. He claims he was conned at a carnival game.

Henry Gribbohm says he lost his life savings, $2,600, on a carnival game and all he has to show for it is this stuffed banana with dreadlocks. He says, "You're expecting the kids to win a few things, let the kids have a good time, it just didn't turn out that way."

Gribbohm says he attended a Manchester carnival run by fiesta shows and wanted to win an Xbox Kinect at a game called tubs of fun, where contestants toss balls into a tub. When he practiced he says it was easy but something changed when he started playing and the balls kept popping out. Gribbohm says, "It's not possible that it wasn't rigged."

Carnival games are rigged to be hard. Why would anyone spend their life savings on it just for an XBox Kinect? It would be a much cheaper to just buy it.

I would ask what his DU name is, but then finding anyone on DU that has any kind of savings account would be next to impossible.

This was on the news this morning.  Ya just don't know what to say about the stupidity.  It was an Xbox he was going for?  Aren't those about $300?  I saw that idiotic banana he won.  I can't believe he even took it home.  He's carrying it around town!

They showed the guy on Fox earlier, he was pushing a baby in a stroller, but he sounded queerer than a $3 bill.
