Maybe I'm not reading this accurately, but COTUS does not guarantee legal representation for somebody who is appearing before Congress for the purpose of testifying. Furthermore, the whistleblowers evidently are in possession of classified information and Kerry and his band of incompetents are refusing clearing of those lawyers to talk to the whistleblowers.

If a person is on trial, that person is guaranteed due process and our judicial system provides legal representation, but for somebody blowing the whistle and who needs to share classified information with an attorney? Not so much.

At least four career officials at the State Department and the Central Intelligence Agency have retained lawyers, or are in the process of doing so, as they prepare to provide sensitive information about the Benghazi attacks to Congress, Fox News has learned.

Victoria Toensing, a former Justice Department official and Republican counsel to the Senate intelligence committee, is now representing one of the State Department employees. She told Fox News her client and some of the others, who consider themselves whistleblowers, have been threatened by unnamed Obama administration officials.

“I'm not talking generally, I'm talking specifically about Benghazi – that people have been threatened,” Toensing said in an interview Monday. “And not just the State Department. People have been threatened at the CIA.”

Knowing what I do of the institutional reactions of the defense and intel communities when they get caught screwing the pooch, even without the overlay of Chicago political thuggery and bullshit lies so prevalent in the current Administration, it's laughable to think otherwise.

ADM Mullen's whole story about the impossibility of responding is also obvious bullshit to anyone knowledgeable about military dispositions, and is further belied by a wave of reliefs and reassignments that followed in the wake of the disaster, scuttlebutt being that everyone who tried to gen up a timely response instead of just letting everyone die in the siege got bitchslapped professionally.
