Although Tim Tebow seems to be a pretty awful NFL quarterback, he also seems to be a very decent and civilized young man.

That is more than enough to inspire hatred from the DUmmies:

Always drew attention to himself - yet football more than any other sport is about team.

Alarmingly, I agree to an extent.

I detest the "look at me, look at me, look at me" compulsion of some modern athletes.

The Bible verse eye black is a more civilized version of the 0bamaite savages with their dreadlocks and dancing displays.

I don't know what to think about Tim Tebow at this point.  After watching him, I'd say he doesn't perform good pre or post snap reads of the defense, he tended to lock into one reciever too much, and the mechanics of his throw are just awful.  His upside is that he is strong enough and fast enough to make up some for poor reads.  He'd make one hell of Fullback in the mode of Mike Allstot though.

I think that if he is given more time as an NFL starter a lot of the read issues would be self-correcting. Now the mechanics of his throws are another matter all together.

The primitives want him to fail because he's a Christian and his belief system doesn't conform to theirs.  If Tebow were a kook that hated Bush, etc... their whole attitude would be different.  If he were black instead of white they'd be forced to sing a whole different tune, too.  Shows how shallow they are.

It's not like the Jets actually played him to speak of, and considering how well they did, they really didn't have shit to lose in trying.  It's kind of a wash, other than losing the time he spent with them from his useful playing life.

It's possible, but I wouldn't bet on that one.  The fact the Jets sucked so bad without playing him doesn't reflect much on him, really, which is why I look at it as a wash deal.

Maybe, if he tried a different position, but chances are slim, since then he'd be competing with gifted athletes who've played the position since childhood.
