W's sick, demented comment about the 9-11 exhibit at his new library
Last edited Sat Apr 27, 2013, 05:53 PM USA/ET - Edit history (2)

In an interview, George W. Bush, speaking about the 9-11 exhibit at his new library, says, “It’s very emotional and very profound, One of the reasons it has to be is because memories are fading rapidly and the profound impact of that attack is becoming dim with time.” (I haven't provided a link, but if you Google the quote you'll find dozens upon dozens of articles in which the quote is reported.)

Am I the only one who finds that statement to be utterly appalling? I mean, for starters, the suggestion that the memories of 9-11 are "fading" is simply ridiculous -- no one who lived through it will ever forget the events of that day. But the suggestion that, after 11 and a half years, we should still be wallowing in the complex swirl of grief, fear and anger we experienced in the immediate aftermath of those events is frankly just twisted and sick. It is made all the more so when it comes from a man who so shamelessly manipulated those emotions in order to lead the country into a PRE-PLANNED war of aggression against a country that had never attacked the U.S. and had nothing whatsoever to do with the events of 9-11.

Bush and his cronies in the private defense contracting industry want to keep us, collectively, in a perpetual state of 'fight or flight,' all the better with which to manipulate us into their next war-for-fun-and-profit. Our 'fight or flight' response is a great evolutionary tool for survival should we happen to find ourselves confronted by a hungry lion on the African plain. But it serves no useful purpose whatsoever in determining how to approach threats over the long term, and it's a really shitty basis on which to base policy decisions.29

Know what, DUmmies? Bush is right. The memory IS fading, because of your ilk. Because you all don't want the "T" word to be used. Because you'd rather finger granny at the airport than pat down somebody who ought to be patted down for security reasons. That's right, your PCd agenda means nothing to me, and I think I can speak for most here when I say it means nothing to most of my fellow posters here. Profile these sons of bitches (muslims) coming through our airports, Amtrak stations, subways, etc, etc. Profile muslims at military bases. Because of your PC "everybody should be equal, we are blind, there are no terrorists" schtick, people are dying. Here, and abroad. Ft Hood, Benghazi, and now the Boston bombing. What's next could be worse, and it is soley on your shoulders.

People are forgetting. People are adopting that pre 9/11 mentality again, because of low level idiots like you, but worse, because of high level idiots, and dolts like Janet Napolitano, and Hilary "it doesn't matter" Clinton. It sickens me.

Once again, Bush is right, you are wrong, but still, all is not right with the world, and I blame your people.

2. There's a 9-11 exhibit at his library????

I imagine Obeezy's exibit will be him standing in that barren room with a SEAL uniform on with a pistol to Bin Ladens head, and you'll all be fawning over it... :puke:

the memory of my country being systematically destroyed by a sociopath who was INSTALLED into the presidency will never dim either - I can still feel the same rage and disgust whenever I see or hear about him

Graduating HS seniors will within a couple of years have absolutely NO personal memories of that day.

Even seniors graduating this year were only about 6 yrs old that day.

To a growing number of adults, the NY Skyline will have always looked like that.

In that way...it will fade in time. Of course it will.

Remember the Alamo!

Remember the Maine!

Remember Pearl Harbor!

In time, all who could remember are memories. And then not even memories. Just stories.

But none of us alive when that happened will ever forget. I know I am still shaken when I see a movie that features a shot of the NY skyline I remember.

But, this maudlin focus on 9/11 and that we are expected to be in griefcasm and murderous rage...forever and ever.

Disgusting.

How long after Pearl Harbor was that monument built? Because that is just simple and profound

Not forever. Just until we get a president who doesn't give a damn about public opinion enough to do what's right. Blow the entire mid east sky high. Make it flat as a pancake, and easy to park on. For the good on International safety.

Was watching a game show not too long ago where one of the contestants named "Robert" Kennedy as a past president. She obviously was not alive in the 60's and JFK means little to her. Eventually 911 will go back to simply being the number you call in an emergency. The circle of life

You despicable little whelp! Dare you to say that to a NYer who lost someone, or a first responder. NYPD, FDNY...I don't think it really matters.

Make sure you bring along a video recorder too.

Yet you voted for him a second time. Even after you helped the press 'install' him. Even after watching him perform his systematic destruction for four years you voted for him again. And I don't see how you can say you have rage and disgust since every time you see him or hear his name you drop to your knees and scream, "How may I serve you, lord Obama?"

Oops. I now think the DUmmie was talking about the president under whom the country prospered with lower gas prices, lower deficits, half the unemployment and who strove to protect the country instead of the president who is really doing the systematic destruction.

I guess the DUmmie is working to keep the DUmp record of perfect incorrection going.

It's hard for me to imagine how even a democrat could feel anything but gratitude and love for President George W. Bush.

He freed tens of millions from tyranny.

He killed hundreds of thousands of savage muzzies.

After the 9/11 attack, a product of democrat inattention and laziness during the previous administration, he stymied every muzzie effort to follow up.

He rekindled the Reagan Boom, allowing millions of Americans to realize their dreams and accumulate significant wealth - and those who resisted the temptation of the real estate bubble still enjoy that wealth to this day.

He restored a sense of patriotism, honor, and morality to the Presidency and the country, similar to the way Reagan restored pride after the Carter malaise.

How can any normal person harbor ill will against such a man?

The answer, of course, is that no normal person can.

For DUmmies.....it should be taken rectally.
“The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of ‘liberalism’, they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.” - Norman Thomas, U.S. Socialist Party presidential candidate 1940, 1944 and 1948

"America is like a healthy body and its resistance is threefold: its patriotism, its morality, and its spiritual life. If we can undermine these three areas, America will collapse from within."  Stalin

9/11 was planned for six years in 1995 as it evolved from Operation Bojinka. That occurred under Clinton.

I never understood why the left is so enraged with George W. Bush. There are things I do not agree with him politically. Than again Bush does not come off as a pompous narcissist like Barack Obama.

I guess it goes back to the 2000 Election. A bitter bunch.

Yep Ptarmy... they got foiled trying to steal an election and they collectively went off the deep end. They want so badly for Obumbles to be the dems version of Reagan and he ain't even in the same league. Clinton at least had some political sense.
