How do you begin to de-program a cult follower?
« on: April 24, 2013, 09:54:23 PM »
Kentuck asks this question, and it is a very relevant question for today, since we have the 0bama cultists who have helped ruin this country, but the DUmbass had something else in mind.

How do you begin to de-program a cult follower?

More specifically, I am speaking of the Reagan cult.

Is it even possible?

They have taken a senile, grouchy old man and turned him into an icon of virtue totally opposite of the reality of the man.

Almost every Republican in office will tell you that he/she is a "Reagan Republican". Reagan was the type of conservative they dream of being themselves.

But that Reagan never really existed.

As David Stockman, Reagan's economic adviser, wrote in one of his earlier books, it was all a hoax. Reagan knew that you could not cut taxes and balance the budget. That was never his plan.

His plan was closer to the Grover Norquist model of drowning the government in a bathtub. He knew that if government spent enough money on defense and taxcuts and wars, then there would be nothing for social programs for the people. That was the way to cut government. Make it so expensive that we could no longer afford it.

Reagan was never the person that the current Republicans see as their idol. Perhaps it is that way with all historical characters?

But, whatever the reason, the Republican Party has become a cult of Reagan. He could do no wrong. How do you begin to de-program such a cult?

Is to not call them a cult follower. Disrepect/ridicule a person and they will tune you out in a heartbeat.

I would tune out any moonbat.

2. Any ideas?

Or do we just accept their re-write of history?

More of that projection. The left rewrites history every day. In fact by the end of the year the Boston bombing will have been committed by right wingers.

I may not lock my doors while sitting at a red light and a black man is near, but I sure as hell grab on tight to my wallet when any democrats are close by.

Eh. I used to post at ronaldreagan.com years ago and these idiots would come and bash Reagan.

He ALWAYS had America's best interests at heart. Sadly, the misinformation about Reagan and his administration persists. The effort to destroy him continues to this day.

Reagan's presidency, coupled with the longest sustained economic boom in modern history, invalidated almost everything liberals stand for, believe in, and have been spouting for decades.

I've read some reality challenged screeds, but this one shoots up the charts.

The Reagan Boom has lasted for thirty years.

Today's democrats are still trying to stamp out its embers.

Parasitic democrats of the early 21st century are living on the fabulous accumulation of American wealth that Ronald Reagan made possible.

How do you deprogram a cultist? Stop them from going on DU would be a good start.

There is NOTHING well intentioned about those people. A mere 5 minutes perusing the DUmpster proves it. I don't see anything about imperialism and Islamophobia in that post. Reagan was hated because he proved that capitalism works. Capitalism means self responsibility which is anathema to the DUmmie Church of "Gimmee So I Can Sit and Complain All Day About What You Haven't Given Me Yet Because I've Earned It Because I Want It".
