Going on a DU vacation

In the last couple months the DU has changed. I've been called racist and had an OP locked.
 
Same thing on an animal rights post that was an email. I screwed up and should have made an intro note and explained the photo was in the email.
 
So now even after I add a disclaimer in the title, some people seem to thing I favor the position in an OP on a police officer and the NRA.
 
It started a few months ago. And not just by trolls. Some are DUers I've known for awhile.

All in all, it looks like the DUmp is coming apart at the seams. All that remains to be seen is if they will carry out the trash when they vacate.

Reading DU these days just freaks me out too much to bother with it. A break is certainly a good idea.

Too late. I've heard from unnamed sources that the Friends of Steve Dawes are still on the job and watch for yet another chance at free mini tacos. Friends don't let friends run without help. and the Friends of Steve Dawes will be waiting--they have ears on the ground--quotes in storage--and they love Stevie-boy so much they will jump at any chance to share his wisdom with the world.

The over/under on the weeper's GBCW is sometime late this afternoon.

After all, how can he fill his time? The Omaha cops can only drink so much coffee.

In his old job, maybe he could have stayed away from the DUmp for a short while.

He spent his days suspended over the main vat at the Omaha sewage plant with a canoe paddle, stirring shit all day.

But one day the cable broke, so now he's claiming a phantom disability.

He just delivers coffee to cops and cleans up puke from cruiser back seats as he awaits arrival of the gravy train.

It's nothing but boredom.

Pitt has no idea of what kind of pain the big guy is feeling.  The big lug Steve would never hurt a fly, intentionally.  Pitt, on the other hand, gets away with murder--threats of it, anyway.  Walk a mile in the big guy's shoes before you jump on his bandwagon.

I feel bad for him, but I do have to say, does he see how easily the term racist etc. is thrown around? that's what we've been putting up with for years, it isn't fun is it?

Another thing, I've been on the internet since the 90's and I don't ever recall a board where conservatives show such hatred toward other conservatives like DU shows to their own, none of us here do this to each other either, yes we disagree at times but we don't sink to nasty name calling like the left does.

I've never seen anything but effervescent enthusiasm for my fellow Nebraskan.  A few minorly-irritated primitives once in a blue moon, yes, but I get more flak in an hour here, than the big guy's gotten in years there.

But at any rate, with the friends the big guy's got, he doesn't need any more friends anyway.

Actually, even though the big guy's a big city boy, he's probably seen a great deal of Nebraska, all or most parts of it.

We're that way.

But the big guy doesn't need to get his Incredible Bulk out more; he needs simply to get his head out of his ass more.
