Ok first off, I have often been the person that yells at northern liberals when they dump on Texas. Also, one life= one life, so there cannot and should not be a judgment just because someone came from point a or b.

Now, there is something I think needs looking at.

Boston: liberal (give or take the odd mistake like Mitt Romney.) The culture is used to the idea of spending money on civil servants and infrastructure, even if there is the occasional mishap (like the "Big Dig") Terrorist shows up: locals work together, police work together, suspect is caught.

Texas: Conservative. Has a culture hostile to civil servants and infrastructure spending. Big explosion happens, lots of people die. Turns out, instead of terrorists, it was an accident in part due to poor quality inspection. No jail time, no arrests, no hint of a crime, despite a death toll equal to Boston.

Of course, did the folks who ran the ammonia plant plan to lay the bomb in the same way as Tamarlane and Dzophar did? NO, but they damned well knew they were gambling with people's lives.

Hey DUmmy even with every regulation under the sun accidents can still happen. This notion that regulation can stop anything bad is just nonsense.
You goons act like this plant in Texas was being run with no regulations whatsoever. What about all the federal laws? Do they get to ignore them in Texas?

The Texas explosion should be very big news but it has become an afterthought because of terrorism and fear.

The Koch brothers must have planted the bomb to deflect from the fertilizer plant blowing up.  :whatever:

I heard that this plant has operated pretty much for as long as I have been alive and up until the other day they never had any major incidents. I'm not saying that this wasn't bad, but if they ran for 40 years or so without incident then maybe they have some idea of what they are doing. Accidents do happen it is part of life.

It was a pharmacy in Framingham, a Boston suburb, smothered in rules, regulations, inspections, and laws, that has been selling contaminated medicine responsible for infecting hundreds of people with fungal meningitis, and so far killing over fifty.

Bad things happen, both with an overwhelming government presence, and without an overwhelming government presence.

So it just comes down to whether you want to err on the side of freedom.

In the super big government state with tons of regulations meningitis managed to slip through the cracks.

Number One:  You presuppose (without due process I might add) that they have caught the actual perpetrator(s).  In your mind, you already have them swinging by the trapezius.

Number Two:  What comparison (and what legal infractions) is/are there between an accident and an intentional terror act?   I won't mention the fact that all of these terror acts, save one, happen in blue liBeRaLanD.  Now, why would that be?

Texas has counties that are larger than the state of Massive-2-shits with far fewer people in them than the smallest town in Massive-2-shits but they are expected to have every modern government amenity of a blue state hell hole.....DUmmies.

Towns in MA do not have "every modern government amenity of a blue state hell hole."   Save for Boston, big cities don't even have them.

Beyond the glaringly obvious fact that we currently don't know what happened in West, the comparison between Boston and a town of less than 3000 people is completely ridiculous. 

But just in comparing Texas to Massachusetts, one must mention a few things...like the continuing increase of Texas population, at about 4x the rate of Massachusetts   http://www.censusscope.org/us/rank_popl_growth.html

I understood that they were treating the fertilizer plant explosion as a crime scene until after the investigation.

I also heard that there had been some mischief going on there because one of their products was an ingredient in making meth.
I certainly wouldn't want them to rule out the drug traders.

I don't know much about the Big Dig. I remember hearing or reading bits and pieces about it. I do seem to remember that it sounded like the biggest problem was probably payola related. Which is to be expected in a blue state government swamped area.

Regardless of the issues with the Big Dig, the DUmmie discounted the entire Big Dig fiasco because it was only an occasional mishap.

Since we haven't heard of previous issues in West, Texas we have to assume that even as terrible and as disastrous as the explosion was it would fall under the DUmmie's 'occasional mishap' umbrella and be discounted.

So with the Big Dig and the fertilizer factory explosion removed from the equation as a result of being occasional mishaps we are left with the following...

Boston, Ma - dem controlled, terrorist target
West, Tx - terrorist free
