- definitely possible - its just a matter of somebody within range connecting their scanner up to Shoutcast or a similar service and streaming it out.

We have friends who are cops, if the cops are talking about something that they don't want the public to hear? they switch to a private channel that the public doesn't have access to.

Cousin nadin is the best reason why civilians should not be allowed to own police scanners.

She doesn't own one because she's a cop or because she's a "journalist" interested in what cops are doing or because she has any particular interest in seeing if the cops are doing their jobs the way they're supposed to.

She owns one simply because she's a yenta, a nosy snooping old busybody who pokes her snout into everything in a desperate attempt to Know All before anybody else does.

We all know the type.
