I used to live a few blocks away from where the bombs went off. I have dozens of friends down there, either running or spectating or working.
 
This is my city. I want to go there to help, to find friends, to defy whoever did this, because **** this shit, that's why. **** this shit.
 
But I'm staying put. God damn it to Hell, I'm staying put.

My daughter now lives in a world where her home town was bombed on Marathon Day, the best day of the year here.
