I was just going by what I have read on DU by the pro abortion crowd, time after time how a fetus is NOT a life, so naturally I assumed that science must have never proved that a fetus was a life, since you guys are so in to science a logical conclusion would be that science has not stated that a fetus is a life.

I probably should re ask the question in a more clear way.
I know to some people when you say life it can have different meanings. If you say life to decent and civilized people in the context of abortion we automatically think human life, or life with intelligence. So I will re ask the question and be more clear in what response I am looking for.

In a hypothetical situation, scientists came out and said that a fetus is in fact a human life with intelligence, emotions, and all the things that make up the basic human elements, would you disregard that science and still claim that a fetus is still only a potential human, or would you take that knowledge and rethink your positions on abortions.

The reason I asked this question, is I and all of us have been accused by Bains for being anti science, and I am interested in how she and other DUmmies would react if science proved something that they disagreed with. Would they blindly accept it because some guy in the proverbial white coat said it? Or would they still reach their own conclusions? Would they be anti science if they disregarded the science?

I realize I will never get an answer to my question, just like when I ask what tax rate would finally be enough to satisfy them. I can never get a straight answer.
