1945 or more rightly 1946 . . . . .

. . . . . is when the first of the Boomers were born. They kept being born until about 1964 or so. By then it ought to have been clear to everyone that they'd get old and want their Social Security. you know, the Social Security they paid into for all their working lives.

We'll by gosh, by golly, they're starting to line up. The first of them hit the full benefit age last year.

So hey, what better time to pull the rug, to steal their piggy bank, to just plain **** 'em over.

Yessirree weeeeee doggie.

No one who matters was surprised by this. The vultures were giddy with anticipation.

Oh look. Dave Letterman was mean to Lindsay Lohan.

1. I just knew this would ****ing happen to me and my generation.

But people said NOOOO, it won't.

Well.

****.

One wonders why Skippy thinks his generation should be any more immune from disappointment and broken promises than any other generation, past or future.

What makes Skippy's generation so "special"?

3. Yeah, and they got our 401-ks, too!

in 2000 and again in 2008...BOOM! went the market, the same market that the sellers of those retirement funds encouraged us all to jump into so our retirement money would grow-grow-grow!

Very "co-incidental" timing, don'tcha think?

Republicans have been saying that Social Security needed reforms for decades yet the Dems accused them of wanting to force old people to eat cat food.  SS could have been fixed much more easily when it hadn't reached the crisis point, but Dems were to busy playing politics to face reality.

Now TSIHTF, and the left is in all out panic mode, but once again they will put politics ahead of reality and the SS problem will get kicked down the road until it collapses under it's own weight.

What the hell is this supposed to mean? Nixon's been dead for a while now and NOT president for even longer. Most of anything he did has pretty well been put to rest by now. Besides, this is the tantrum thrower in chief doing this.

Not exactly. We're still plagued by his world-class-stupid EPA.

Isn't Obama's budget proposing cutting SS?  :???:

Just to review DUmbasses,FDRs little jewel had benefits start at 65 when life expectancy was 62.
LBJ needed to hide the cost of his war on poverty so created the unified budget act in 1968 so SS funds basically entered the general fund.

You have been scammed by your own.

Try telling that to the primitives and they have their own version of history that has nothing to do with reality.

When conservatives suggested it needed to be fixed, the libs did accuse them of trying to "pull the rug, to steal their piggy bank, to just plain **** 'em over."  They said leave it alone, it didn't need to be fixed, it was solvent for the next 75+ years.  All the signs said that it was going to run out of money, but better to stick your fingers in your ears and go LA-LA-LA-LA-LA.

The libs should have heeded the warning of the last 30 years.  They didn't even have a contingency plan in case SS were to become extinct, and now after eating, drinking, and making merry they're surprised that what we conservatives knew all along some 30 years ago actually will happen?

Husb2 and NYC_SKP are two of the most stupid people alive on earth, much less on Skin's island of misfit kooks.  They deserve to die in poverty in the gutter.
