I can't think of the brand name now (and nadining ain't helping me) but I always buy a large count box (40 I think) of chicken spring rolls at BJs (cue jokes . . .).  They're great in the toaster oven. Of course with a 17 year old boy around, they don't last long!

No, not Lean Cuisine but I have seen them in smaller boxes in the frozen food aisles in ShopRite, Acme, etc, near where the pot stickers, and other won ton type items -- just can't remember the brand right now.  I still have to get the large, "economy-sized" items due to the aforementioned teenage boy! 

I can't even imagine how many Lean Cuisines he'd go through at a single setting!

How about Minh?  Schwan's company makes them.  Sam's carries those, and I bought a box.  Pretty good if you do not microwave.

I detest pea salad, but I LOVE frozen peas, cooked or in like a 7 layer salad. I LOVE lima beans, but not butter beans. (similar) The veggie I most despise is asparagus!!

You'll be pleased to note that while I was on Mt. Desert Island, ME (Bar Harbor is the bigger town on the island), I managed to avoid -- kicking and screaming, btw -- ingesting any bugs, crustaceans, seafood of any sort.

BFF and I went to Ben & Bill's when we were up there, too. Thought I'd died and gone to heaven... 

There was a place on the water... it was on the left as you went into town from the Holiday Inn (where we stayed).. it had a deck that looked out over the docks where the lobstermen came in, but I can't remember the name of it. Had the most awesome lobstah rolls. 

We were trying to find flights up there before the end of summer to go visit her sister, who has a summer home in Calais... but we can't find anything remotely reasonable. Her sister lives outside of Tampa and she can get these incredible deals on Allegiant for $59 each way back and forth to Bangor. It would cost us more than that just to PARK a car at our airport for a week!! Forget flying anywhere for a reasonable price.

BFF and I went to Ben & Bill's when we were up there, too. Thought I'd died and gone to heaven... 

There was a place on the water... it was on the left as you went into town from the Holiday Inn (where we stayed).. it had a deck that looked out over the docks where the lobstermen came in, but I can't remember the name of it. Had the most awesome lobstah rolls.

We didn't spend a great deal of time in Bar Harbor as the house we rented was on the "quiet" side of Mt. Desert Island in Somesville.

The house we rented was built in the early 1800s and definitely had some age-related "issues." The well water was undrinkable and there was only a clawfoot tub and not a shower on the ground floor. (I went upstairs to take a shower -- can't stand baths.)

Saw a play called "Shirley Valentine" that was a hoot. Single-person cast, who did a fabulous job. I ain't much of a summer stock theater guy, but that performance was excellent.

The whole experience was nice, but the next time Mrs E wants to go someplace on the outer reaches of the planet like this, she can fly herself. I'm staying home with the dogs and the parrots.

You sound like M and BFF's husband! We went up there a couple of years ago, for her niece's HS graduation, in a little bitty town about 2.5 hours into the center of Maine. We also did a bit of exploring. We flew into Bangor, went to Camden and stayed at the Whitehall Inn - a really cool place where the original Peyton Place movie was filmed and supposedly haunted. http://www.whitehall-inn.com/

After the graduation, we went to Bar Harbor and stayed there for a few days.

I think Maine is beautiful. I spent a summer there in college, at a very exclusive girls summer camp, as a waterfront instructor/counselor. The parents paid more for 8weeks of summer camp, per kid, than I did for a full year of college tuition, living in a dorm w 3 meals a day, books, and spending money!!!

We would really like to go back up there and go to her sister's. It's pretty close to the Canadian border, from what K has said. She bought this really old - like 100 yrs + - dilapitdated house, that she has been fixing up for the last couple of years. Her husband hates it up there, and will only go up once during the summer for a week or so, and it would be fun to have a "girl's week" of exploring.

So far, the cheapest we've been able to find a way there, has been well over $500 each, and with K driving down to Portand or to NH.... right now, it just doesn't fit into the budget, for either one of us.

Way back when, we went through Mexico, Maine, along the river that flows to it. The river was COVERED almost shore to shore with logs being floated down to a mill.

Jeff, those paper mills are the funkiest things on the planet, except for pig farms. Your nose has to be permanently burned out not to be affected by the funk in pig farms. But the paper mills absolutely reek -- no doubt.

Granted, the pig farms are also bad. And so are the cattle feed lots.

Speaking of cattle...remember the old Monfort of Colorado reefer semis full of beef? Hell, they named the left lane of the interstates, "The Monfort Lane" because they went so friggin' fast and passed everything on the road.

My fave part of Maine , is Boothbay habah . There's lot's to do and see...mY parents took us to a beautiful Inn, called the Albonegan. Located on it's own little island. Cute little shops, restaurants and such. Kennebunkeport is nice too. Cape Cod if beautiful as well. On Facebook, I have the Texas State Link, called I love Texas.  I am practically drooling. Big Dog was kind enough to share some pics of his home state, and of course Frank has lovely pics of the Sandhills...
