Just reading through these messages on the site and it's amazing just how many there are who are living off their SS income alone, never stopping during their working life to think about the fact that SS might not be there at all or it wouldn't be enough.  These fools just drifted through life not thinking at all, just existing and somehow convincing themselves that once they get older that the ability to pay for things they need would just magically appear.  They had, and still have, the minds of children.

These people don't realize Medicare reimbursements have already been cut by more than 11% (During O's first term)?  They really thought there was some magic piggy bank that could support all of us?  That we could just go on and on spending in the medical areas like it would never end?  That SSDI could become the new long-term unemployment benefit and the bottom line would balance?

What the heck? 

Oh, if they could only see (and understand) what is coming at them.

I'm tired of them showing old people eating cat food.  That crap is more expensive than tuna.  In fact, there are lots of foods cheaper than cat food or dog food.

The old cat food trick, eh?  They've been running that since Reagan's term, IIRC.  Ya'll are right about those two dipshit obamavoter oldsters up there.  I just want to smack them.  And yeah, sell the silver.  Besides, they both look healthy enough for a part time job, still.  Look at them feeling all sorry for themselves. 

Canned cat food is now 65 cents.  An envelope of tuna (Sunkist) at Dollar General is $1.  Stir it into another $1 box of tuna helper, and there you go.  I'm glad we're all too resourceful here to resort to catfood.  I'd raise chickens first, geez.

Considering that in 1938, barely 1 in 3 people lived to 65, and that figure is more than 2 in 3 today, hells yeah!

I'm already at the point where I'm going to have to live into my 90's just to recoup what I've paid into the system.  And given my family history, I've got about a zip-point-shit chance of seeing that.

Wanted to say it was Glenn Beck that pointed out that if they had tied SS retirement age to average life expectancy, we should have retirement ages of 77 and 80 for men and women, respectively.
