A couple attending a baseball match learned a little about each other - perhaps a little bit too much about each other - after a home run ended up hitting a woman in the face.

That would be unfortunate enough. What made it worse was that the ball was about to hit her boyfriend until he dived out of the way to leave her in the firing line.

The pair were at the match between the St Louis Cardinals and the Arizona Diamondbacks - and the Cardinals' Peter Kozma was busy doing his job and hitting the ball out of the park.

Because they are low information people, they don't understand cause and effect.
They only understand the effect that they think their actions will have on their feelings.
For example banning guns would make them feel good. and make them feel that they made society safer. Yet if they got their way and saw crime go through the roof they would be wondering what happened. So they will dream up more feel good laws that don't do a damn thing. Rinse and repeat.

Did you see the guy at Great American Ballpark in Cincinnati yesterday, who caught a home run ball (hit by the Washington Nationals' Jayson Werth) with his left hand while holding his two-year-old son with his right arm?  The kid didn't move a bit.  Heluva grab.

First off, let's see how well you do with a ball heading towards you at 70-80 mph as it crosses the fence.  Even if it barely clears the wall it's still moving at a pretty good clip, much faster than your normal backyard game of catch.

While I grant you, most DU men have balls flying towards their faces all day, they're not made of leather and are much smaller and lighter and travel at far lower speeds than your average home run major league baseball.
