Myscenicdrives - the best road trip planner I have ever found.

http://www.myscenicdrives.com

I have long searched for the perfect planner, but they have all failed me in one way or another. At long last, I have found one that is closest to perfection that I have ever seen.

It takes a bit to learn how to use it, but once you get it, it is fantastic. You can put in an overview then start adding stops, looking for scenic routes, finding historical points of interest and locating recreational areas. It allows you to decide how long you want to drive each day and can mark a weeklong trip into manageable segments, then tell you what lodging is available in the area.

I love planning a trip, but this site has made it even more fun.

Plan a road trip before it's too late!!!! You won't regret it.

The cbayer primitive and her eccentric English husband are going to Texas soon, to visit one of her sons, although I don't think they're going by boat.  Renting a car or something, I suppose.

I dunno which son this is; the cbayer primitive has one son who she really dotes on, and another one that had to be scared straight of something.

Only one primitive comment, not worth bringing over here.  This is posted simply as a public service, in case someone's looking for a scenic drive and hasn't seen the site the cbayer primitive's promoting here.

Whoa.  What a rip.

This "scenic drives" thing says there's no scenic drives in the Sandhills of Nebraska.

Talk about being both provincial and ignorant.

Pretty, but not enough curves.  I hope the women of Nebraska have more to offer than the roads. :-)

I had a look at my state... apparently, nobody bothered to notice the Natchez Trace and seem to think the only good roads are through the mountains to the east.

Well, Texas is a pretty big state.  It seems all the scenic drives here would take me a day to get to.

And then some.  I did more driving in Texas than I did relaxing.

I need another vacation.

To any lurking primitives:  There is no scenery worth looking at in Wyoming.  Well, yeah the Tetons and the junk up in that corner, but not the rest of the state.   :-)

The DUmmies, for the most part, stay out of WY. They're afraid that you'll take em out in the sticks and tie em to a fence.

Driving for pleasure, DUmmies?

Nice carbon footprint you have there, selfish bastards. Why don't you just take a gun and shoot our poor Mother Earth? Or roast a spotted owl on a fire fueled by styrofoam and old tires.

A note to the primitives. Virginia has no scenic routes or historical areas. There is nothing here for you. Go try New England you will like it much better.

Interesting no scenic drives in West Virginia.  DUmmies need to stay out of the mountains.

Not a problem. Once they reach Newburgh, they'll spend the rest of their trip in the OCC gift shop, unless it's belly up.

Yes, it is.  That's the business partner.
