Negotiating with the emissaries of the Tea Bag Nation is impossible because of a automatic translation issue.

For example:

we say: reasonable gun laws, teabaggers hear steal my manhood

we say: health care for all, teabaggers hear steal my freedom not to be insured

we say: President Obama takes less vacation time than Shrub, teabaggers hear lazy black man

we say: the Iraq War was a gigantic fraud, teabaggers hear you hate my yellow ribboned escalade

we say: marriage equality, teabaggers hear "those people" ain't got no rights

I believe it is a problem only that imminent linguist Dr. Suess could solve--import some Sneetches.

They say: reasonable gun laws, we hear a path to gun confiscation. Considering a whole bunch of leftists have admitted that is the ultimate goal of "gun safety" regulations. The left is good at coming up with new terms that don't sound bad to the low information voters.

They say: free health care for all, we realize that a system like that will be unsustainable, we realize that if government is paying for our health care, which will be sub standard, it is yet another door way for them to control our lives.

They say Bush took more vacation time than 0bama, we know that isn't true. Yes Bush spent a lot of time at his ranch, but he wasn't flying himself and his family all over the world spending large amounts of money on luxurious accommodations and partying like it was 1999 all over again. In fact Bush gave up golf after the Iraq war began. 0bama speaks of all the sacrifices that we all must make, meanwhile he and his wife are living it up.

They say Iraq was a fraud and war crimes blah blah blah, we know that Bush did not invent the idea of WMDs in Iraq, in fact Bill Clintoon and his administration as well as the UK and other countries all had said that Saddam was working on the,. We also know that Bush went to the UN and congress both and got the go ahead before the first boot hit the ground. Flash forward to 2012 and 0bama decides all on his own that we will start bombing Libya.

They say marriage equality, we ask where will it end? Will bi sexual people be able to marry both their boyfriends and their girlfriends? We also do not want the government forcing the church to re define marriage because people demand it, the church answers to God not man.

Person #1 Why would a doctor need to know anything about what guns a person has?

Person #2 yeah. I have been going to the Dr's since I was born and never once was I asked about owning a gun.
My best guess would be if someone was having mental health issues. And oh, Obama said that Dr's should use their judgement on whether or not to ask, so that = right wingnut freakout, need more laws mandating what a DR can and can not do.

Next week Obama is going to say he is glad spring is here and the teapublicans will race to make spring illegal.

Teabagger: Teapublicans aren't trying to ban anything (except rights-guaranteed by the Constitution- infringement)-had a big cold soda or juicy hamburger in New York lately??? I'll bet not. Who started that trend? HMM?

Person #2: that would be Bloomberg who ran for Mayor of NYC in as a republican in 2001. Changed to Indy in 2009. So your point IS?

If we are so stupid why is it we don't need nor desire the government to hold our hands through life and make our decisions for us? Why is it when we lose a job we don't sit in front of the computer and wait until unemployment runs out then demand that they give us more? Why is it if a hurricane is heading our way you will never see us waiting for FEMA to come bring us bottled water and MREs?
How is it we figured out all the surprises contained in 0bamacare and you only learn about them as they come out?

Yes the constantly take words and redefine them, all in order to try to hide their true intentions.

They also love to rename things so the low information voters will buy into the new terminology. For example gun control is now gun safety. Who will say that gun safety is a bad thing? Under the old definition of the word safety is something every gun owner strives hard for. Under the new definition of safety it leads to rights being lost.

.....words have meaning.  The return of Dr. Suess is not imminent.  I do find it rather hilarious that you require Dr. Suess to elaborate a thought.  We moved on some time around 2nd or 3rd Grade.  But that is your problem, isn't it?  You have never moved past the idyllic days of childhood where Mommy and Daddy house you, feed you, clothe you and pay your doctor bills.  And now, you demand that Mommy and Daddy Government provide for all your arrested adolescent needs.  Sorry.  Eventually, your allowance runs out.

However, practice your linguistic skills with Run Dog, Run and perhaps you can come back with a better bouncy.

Well Mr Mannn... I think you hit it on the head of the nail.  I am reminded of a Star Trek episode where Capt Kirk and others were beaming up to the ship and got transported to an alternate universe where the Federation was an evil, savage empire. He had to act like a savage so he could get back to his universe. At the end of the show when Kirk got back to his universe, he asked Spock how he knew the Evil Empire Kirk wasn't him. He said that civilized beings can act like savages, but savages cannot act like civilized human beings.

I think the analogy fits here in a way. The dummies are basically children. I can act like a child anytime I want, but the dummies cannot act like a responsible adult. The proof is that they need government to provide for them and I do not. I am an adult and can provide for me and mine. Dummies cannot and are seeking a parent, if you will, to do it for them. 

I think that describes dummies, liberals, and their ilk in a nutshell.

Funny thing about all this is... all you have to do is watch what the dummies and libbies call us, and that is exactly what they are.

Reason # 2 is it's own problem.  I regularly speak against liberals in Maryland.  I heard one on a conservative talk show shortly after O'Money passed a series of massive and intrusive pieces og legislation.  The liberal was ecstatic.  When told that people would move to Virginia, he said they didn't care, because after they were done turning Maryland into their idea of utopia, they were going to start on Virginia.

They will continue to shout us down and portray us as racists, bigots, and miogynists so long as our only means of defending ourselves remain political.  They always fool enough people to give them a chance to win, and when they do they will move people into dependencies that rely on communists being elected.  When things come to a head it sure is gonna get ugly.
