Judge Rejects Divorce For Transgender Pregnant Man

PHOENIX (AP) — An Arizona judge on Friday refused to grant a divorce for a transgender Arizona man who gave birth to three children after beginning to change his sex from female.
 
Maricopa County Family Court Judge Douglas Gerlach ruled that Arizona’s ban on same-sex marriages prevents Thomas Beatie’s nine-year union from being recognized as valid.
 
Thomas Beatie was born a woman and underwent a double-mastectomy but retained female reproductive organs and gave birth to three children.
 
Gerlach said he had no jurisdiction to approve a divorce because there’s insufficient evidence that Beatie was a man when he married Nancy Beatie in Hawaii. Beatie is eager to end his marriage, but the couple’s divorce plans stalled last summer when Gerlach said he was unable to find legal authority defining a man as someone who can give birth.

Progressives [aka Democratic socialists ] in general, and DUmmies in particular, live forever in the land of unintended consequences.  All we need is a horse in the Senate (not just the horse faced Kerry).  Obama body surfed as the nation burned. How appropriate the half black pResident would preside over the fall of a once great nation, having been hoisted to his throne and crowned by a mob of moochers, he couldn't even get being black right.  Apparently the only thing he can do right is go on vacation.  In the long run the longer he stays gone the better it may be for the American people.
