When my Dad and I had hay down in the field, and it was calling for rain the next day, we would be chopping hay (we didn't bale it)  when the son went down, and finish chopping when the sun came back up again.  24-36 hour days were not unusual during harvest/hay seasons, stopping just long enough for a sandwich, coffee, diesel for the tractors, and back to the fields before the dust could settle.  Our longest stint was 42 hours straight!

Thinking back, I wonder how in the hell I made it thru some of those days, and yet part of me yearns to do it all over again.

I was having super  with my wife at a local joint kind of like a Beef O'Bradey's, since March madness is in full swing the place was busy. The waiter came up to us and apologized to us for it taking so long. I told my wife that I must look grumpy or something because when we get slow service they always seem to go out of their way to apologize to us. She said it is my neutral face that does that. So I told her I am the original grumpy cat.  :-)
