(CNN) - Actress and Democrat Ashley Judd, who was openly considering challenging Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell for his Kentucky seat in 2014, announced Wednesday she was "currently unable" to run for public office.

"After serious and thorough contemplation, I realize that my responsibilities & energy at this time need to be focused on my family," Judd wrote on Twitter.

The announcement comes after months of speculation that Judd – an actress with family roots in Kentucky - would jump into politics. The rumors sparked heavy backlash from Republicans, including McConnell, who began producing videos attacking Judd.

She and Wy and Naomi all lived in Williamson County.

Wy is the drunk singer and Ashley is the drunk actress.

But I think she dumped her race driver husband a few months ago and moved to Kentucky to run for office.

She was married to racer husband for 12 years, but who knows, maybe she couldn't get prego.  According to what I've read, it sounded more like it was by choice.  As crazy as she and her family are, it's probably a good idea she didn't breed.

If anyone saw the movie, Bug, now that I am recalling it I think it was a perfect cinematic representation of the liberal mindset.

I'll have to watch it again now but Ashley Judd in real life is the character she played in that movie, Agnes White.

Dario drove part of a year in NASCAR for Chip Ganassi in 2008, then switched to Indycar and the Target/Chip Ganassi racing team.  He's won the Indy 500 3 times, including last year.

Also, despite his Italian sounding name, he's Scottish.
