Stores used to do double off coupons.  But they don't do them around here anymore.

I get the best deals on shopping at non-union stores, and I watch the weekly store ads.

There's nothing at all wrong with it if that's what you enjoy.

I've just never seen a coupon that dropped the price enough to match that of the store-brand item, and at the big stores nearly everything has a store-brand equivalent.

If they had coupons on store-brand stuff, I'd be all over that.

I've used coupons at restaurants, but never at the grocery store (except the one-cent items at Publix).

Sometimes there are coupons for store brand items that print out on those catalinas at the end of your shopping trip.

I'm sorry, CVS... I have to shop at Walgreens.  Two words: bacon jerky.

The turkey BBQ jerky is pretty damn good too.

Try checking out your store's name-brand website for coupons.  The store we shop uses Our Family brand and here's a link to the coupons.

I would think most store brands would be similar, eh?

"Do you smoke tobacco"?
I see no difference.
They have no problem with that.
Do you do weed?
Over-weight, homo, vegan, weed smokers, drug-users get a bye.
If I had the intelligence to run a business, I wouldn't want one of those either.
DUmpmonkeys, get off yer fat ass, do some work. Lose the weight.
Liberal primitives always tell us we should eat and be healthy.
Maybe they should live by there own rules for a change.

My company screens for tobacco use.  They don't ask for weight, but I think they have a program where you can get extra money for medical expenses if you participate in various activities to improve your health.

In reality, if somebody is overweight everybody knows it.  Does the actual number of a person's weight actually make that much of a difference?

Bullshiite. That's illegal.  They may confirm a suspicious looking attempt at fraud (read Taverner) but they cannot arbitrarily deny or alter a prescription.  F*ing liar.

Uh-huh....

There are measures in place by the DEA when it comes to controlled substances. Just because you have a written prescription does not mean it will not be verified by running your name through the DEA database and verifying your relationship with the doctor, along with the diagnosis code. It's called safe dispensing in good faith.

If you are doctor shopping, using more then one pharmacy  for the same medication, or a number of other situations, you will be shut down by the pharmacist, end of story. I don't want to give away all the red flags, as I want the DUmmies to keep getting busted.

Indeed, health incentive programs are becoming increasingly popular. The programs have existed for decades, but gained newfound popularity after a 2006 change to health-care laws that clarified which incentives were legal and which were not.

Good article, explains it well

I've been able to get things for free with a coupon on a sales item.  I don't coupon with a group.  Is it so wrong for a person to get an item for free or really cheap if they are able to?

That is great. Manufacturer's coupons are just like cash to a retailer.

Some stores have monthly in store coupon books for name brand items and they can easily be combined with sale prices and manufacturer's coupons to result in very good deals.

I heard of other companies using negative consequences to curb smoking or obesity, such as having to donate money to a group that one disagrees with (the NRA, for example) if goals are not met.

This noob is going to piss off a lot of fat DUmmies.  They get real defensive.

Her second paragraph:  Has anyone heard of this?  This would be illegal, I'd imagine.

Yes.

DUmmies would be in a better position to comment on workplace issues when they actually join a workplace.
