Girls have you tried that PedEgg thing?
« on: June 08, 2008, 10:49:25 PM »
I have the nastiest heels ever.  I used it for the first time and it is incredible!  My heels look like they belong on a human instead of some sort of alien/goat/alligator hybrid.  Ped Egg!
http://www.pedegg.com/creamindex.html?directLoad&uid=E2C3C140931EFBC297B63F04A4C1121F

I found mine at Walmart instead of ordering it from TV though.

A friend of mine swears by hers!

I keep forgetting to pick one up......she got hers at WalMart a month or so ago and loves it.

She's also the one who told me to use Monistat cream (yep, that stuff) on badly cracked heels.

I was having a problem with almost the entire bottom of my feet.....I thought it was just cause it was so dry during the winter. I felt like I was snagging the sheets they were so rough. And lotion wasn't making a difference. :o

Anyhow, bought the stuff and used it 3-4 times.....went and got a pedicure and the guy used one of those razor thingies on my heel....my feet are back to normal.

It's a type of fungus.....almost like athlete's foot. She said her feet actually were cracking....her's have cleared up too.

Just buy the Walmart brand.....it's cheaper than the label brand. ...The one I bought is Equate...miconazole 7 dose treatment cream (can't remember if that's the Walmart or Kmart brand)...but you want it in the tube...not the pre-packaged doses. It's also cheaper than the stuff made for "women's athlete's foot" ::)

A little bit will cover the whole bottom of your foot, then put a pair of socks on.....I used it before going to bed....you will notice a difference after the first time.
Just hand over the chocolate...back away slowly...far away....and you won't get hurt....

Save the Earth... it's the only planet with chocolate.

"My therapist told me the way to achieve true inner peace is to finish what I start. So far I've finished two bags of M&M's and a chocolate cake. I feel better already." – Dave Barry

A balanced diet is chocolate in both hands.

I cringe everytime I see the PedEgg commercial. It looks like you are grating your heels, which I guess is the point. But it seems painful to me.

I've seen them at the local CVS, I thought about getting one.

I religiously use a pumice stone on my feet during my showers.

Very true.  Guys get callouses and they hurt -- they also snag socks, etc.

A few minutes with that pedi-egg works like a champ.

WARNING: It does NOT keep the callous dust inside the unit -- when I use it there is a cloud of dust over my foot.  Take it outside.

I used it outside as well.  The ground was covered in white gross foot particles.  The egg was also half filled with gross foot particles too though.  I think you are supposed to hold it kinda right side up to keep the stuff in.  I just went crazy with mine though, damn the consequences!  My BFF's hubby uses it too, however I must disclose that he also wears crocs. :gay2:

OMG! On another board I belong to (but hardly ever visit any more) there is a 47 page thread entitled "the ped egg makes me puke". BWAHAHAHAHA!!!!

I hate feet. I don't let anyone touch mine. Forget a professional pedicure. I do my own. I'm also pretty obsessed with having smooth, nice feet and painted pretty nails since the ones I see in public gross me out!! I'm just completely disgusted by feet for some reason. Especially unkempt feet. Sorery!

This is one of those train wreck subjects for me. I can't look but I also have to at the same time! I think the ped egg is disgusting. But I own one.

I LOVE mine.  I take good care of my feet with a pumice stone, lotion, etc. but after I used the PedEgg for the first time, my feet were sooooo smooth I even made my husband touch them to see, which is a big deal because NO ONE touches my feet, ever.  I was skeptical at first but it really does work.

I know it sounds ghey, but you haven't lived until you have had a pedicure (while getting an arm and shoulder massage makes it Heaven!)  When you travel as much as I do, you need to pamper yourself if you have longer layovers.

And I think feet are disgusting, also.  Mrs. FD doesn't understand why I don't like to touch her feet -- I will rub them if she is in real pain, but she knows I hate it.

Massages are one thing. I love massages. But pedicures? Nope. I've tried numerous times. I even went to a relative's salon and had her do it. Still can't stomach it. Manicures are just fine. But I don't spend the money on them anymore since I'm pretty good at doing it myself. I also have gotten pretty good at pedicures. I'll pass on soaking in the foot soup bowls in the salon though. There isn't enough Scrubbing Bubbles in the world or enough time in an autoclave that can kill my squeamishness.

My SIL is a massage therapist. I love when she visits!

I used to be on my feet for 16 or more hours, often wearing not so comfortable slip resistant resturant shoes. (Do you want to not fall on your butt, or do you want comfort, it's hard to find both in those shoes, even the expensive ones)

Calouses would often crack on the side of my heal....then your day at work gets really long...my feet would be so sensative, I would not let anyone touch them....then when herniated back disc flared up....bottoms of arches were very painful if touched...but that is getting better now....

Now living here in a more dry climate, I still have to pay attention to my feet, plus I love to take long walks.

I don't mind rubbing someone's feet....usually with a sock still on....but if I really like the person I go all out :)

I love pedicures! I said I give them to myself. I cannot stand for someone else to do it. And, I can't stand nail salons. I've seen too many disgusting feet go into those little chairs with the jacuzzi at the end :-) Not enough scrubbing bubbles in the world nor enough sterlization for those instruments. Even if I brought my own tools, the thought of another person working on my feet ooges me out! I'm pretty good at doing it myself now since I've been at it for over a decade. In fact, my friends beg me to do theirs. Yeah, that'll happen! :-)

I have actually heard of more then one "nail shop owner" say that the Asians put them out of biz....

I think it's just more of a competition thing....the Asian shops on every corner just made it more affordable for those that never had used the services in the past....it's all good.

yeah, i hear ya on the footbath basins. they put this blue powder stuff in the scalding hot water here to rinse out the last person's stuff... and the Asian ladies here all wear latex gloves. as for the tools, yeah, those are a death trap :-)

as for the massage though.. i might be pretty good at that, but it never feels as good as when someone else does it.

now, 'ooges me out' is a new term to me... i think i shall steal it.
