Hmmm, maybe the republicans should get their stomachs pumped. No telling what was in the food Obama did NOT want to eat.
Way back in the days of whenever, poisoning was a great way to get rid of family, friends and enemy's there were food tasters. Science was very young back then, the poison used acted immediately and was to send many a taster to an early grave.
Some really paranoid people went out to pick their meal off the vine, ----- Enemy's got around this by swabbing poison on the fruits while still on the vine. Unsuspecting person picked their own figs and died anyway.
HA, today one can die from going to the store and buying a cantelope, a bag of mixed greens, Check out all the recalls on food we buy every day.
Obama does not need a food taster, he is at risk as everyone of us to eat bad food. Yet he wants to lower the number of food inspectors, for over seas shipments of food products, lower the inspectors of food product inspectors for American grown or raised foods for the rest of us. Oh boy a good bout of food poisoning may open his eyes especially if it hits his kids, or keeps his wife sitting on the toilet for 2 days.
I know how this works, a pallet of food is delivered and an inspector has one box brought out of the middle outside of shipment and if the food is OK the pallet is declared good. Lord knows what is at the bottom or the inside boxes.
We need more not less food inspectors as food is moved about the country by rail or refrigerated trucks that can malfunction along the way. The warnings on food packages of frozen foods that tell you once defrost not to refreeze, Hell, work with this stuff and you can tell just by looking the food has from the plant to the store been defrosted and refrozen 3-4 times. Frozen food leaves the plant in perfect condition and in transport to the store be subject to any number of freeze--defrosts--refreeze.
When a refrigerated truck picks up a shipment at a plant, there are no inspectors to insure the cooling system on the truck works, At the store to be delivered, no inspectors to insure a pallet is removed into the freezer right away.
Our inspectors regulate the food in the plant to insure quality, once it is shipped off, here is where the problem lays.
Rant ended, for now.
