I thought it would be neat to have a thread on stuff like our ideas of Dream house stuff.  Just add on from time to time something you see that is truly inspiring to you.

Like I love this!

I love that.   :)    I would also love to refurbish an old house without worrying about the cost.  Dream, dream, dream.....

I was afraid of that.

That's his dream house for all of us.
I may not lock my doors while sitting at a red light and a black man is near, but I sure as hell grab on tight to my wallet when any democrats are close by.

franksolich's dream house:

franksolich's dream house:

That's his dream house for all of us.

Actually cardboard, extra strength makes some killer insulation.  The type to make packing boxes with the double and triple strength walls with the air holes running down the inside between two walls is far superior to any man made foam or the rolls of fiberglass.

Africa to the Arctic people are looking for cheap housing, all kinds of new cement and the old Pharaoh cement that gets stronger the wetter it becomes.

Seen sod homes in the mid west, bails of straw used for insulation, cool in the summer, warm in the winter.

These homes like the one built by that cow boy star in NM, he had it built on earth pounded into old used tires, old timbers taken from old barns being torn down, magnificent when finished.

So depending on where you live, the new days are here.   The days of European square and rectangular homes are passing fast.  We have more geodesic domes up here every year.   More cheaper housing and better construction then the track homes.  For some reason the round homes in the mid west are by passed by tornado's and earthquakes.      Has to be something our ancestors knew but went with the flow of the New fads.

The picture of the cardboard shelter was just a sample of survival   and we need a heads up just in case.

Franks ideal home.

Poor Frank, 1 hour wandering about looking for a toilet, legs in pain going up and down the hall trying to find something that looks familiar, where the hell is the kitchen.    What floor is my room on, What is east and west wing, why are all the doors locked ?     No elevator's, crap.

Poor Frank wandering about a wonderful home that he will starve to death without a map to the main hall and servants to guide him.

Rotts of luck Frank, don't wander about without 6 others that know something about the home.
