Rand Paul is not the "one true conservative."

That's his dad.    I kid, I kid.

He did something I like. He's done more than any other R Senator. That filibuster is not negligible. It hasn't happened in years. Threatened, but not actually happened.

I don't think there is such a thing as a "one true conservative." All of them suck. All are just human. Just get the government off my back. Give me a strong military. Give states back the power accorded to them. Stop the taxatation madness.

Graham told reporters that he had planned to vote against Brennan's nomination but now intends to support the nominee because the confirmation fight has become a referendum on the drone program.

Yup.  I was wrong thinking that Mitch McConnell would try to stop him.  When Jay Carney answered Rand Paul's question ("NO!"), Paul apparently felt that he could vote for him.  There is also an attitude among McCain, Graham, and others in the Republican Party that a President should be able to get the picks that he wants.  Too bad that the Dems don't believe in that as well. ::)
