As I finished dressing myself and walked out, you could hear a pin drop. The gentlemen had certainly never heard, nor ever expected to hear, a response like that from “one of the guys” for as long as he’d live.

Good for him!

It sickens me to hear married people trash their spouse.  Really sickens me.  For one thing, growing up as a street urchin that is how I heard prostitutes talk about their johns.  Mocked them.  Pointed out their faults.  So, what's the difference here?  And, what kind of person crawls into bed with someone they loathe or think a fool?  Who on earth would be in business with a fool?  A business is what a family, or even a couple, is.

I've said on more than one occasion (both with my wife present, and not) that I should petition the Roman Catholic Church to have my wife declared a saint.  Two things gum up the works--1) she's Lutheran, and 2) she's still alive, hopefully for a long time.  I praise her fairly regularly, and often--she puts up with me.

Males with a hankering for some strange stuff will listen carefully to the husbands complaints and be sure to know what sets the wife off and not repeat their mistakes.
