What's for Dinner ~ Sunday Feb 24th
You know, dear sweet old Lu is just as bad as the big guy, Omaha Steve.
She makes one comment, and never elaborates, in this case such as telling the other primitives what
she's having for supper.

1. Probably Greek Chicken, pilafi, wax beans and a salad.
But that could change. It's early yet.

2. Honey-glazed chicken
Chicken pieces dredged in flour and browned in butter, baked with a honey-soy-lemon-garlic glaze. Made once before, yum! Baked potatoes and broccoli.
My regular grocery store no longer sells cut-up whole chickens, only packs of drumsticks, thighs, etc. Thankfully the other store I go to once in a while still sells them and it was on sale.
^^^a woman primitive; "Freddie"'s the name of her pet cat.
What a stupid name for a cat.

3. I hate to admit it, but I'm having store bought frozen lasagna. I've been a little under the weather lately. I don't feel like cooking and I'm craving lasagna. I just happened to have one in the freezer.
<<<still laid low by mononucleosis, and so for supper tonight, went to town and picked up a $1.59 slice of Canadian bacon pizza at the convenience store.

8. It's starting to calm down some, but it was crazy for awhile.
So bad, I felt seasick.

9. I am sure that you know this...
but watch the horizon! First time I crossed the Channel, it was rough and most everyone was seasick. It was awful! Me, I had to quit drinking beer because the bathrooms were not usable.

10. I always stay topside and watch the horizon when we are under way.
Today, however, we are tied up and I just retreated back under the covers and stayed in a twilight zone.
The big mistake I made was getting on the computer for awhile.

5. Beans and tortillas with cheese and toasted Guajillo chile dressing on frisee endive. No meat, which I love, but which I'm sick of. So grateful for beans!

15. leftover v****e soup
there's still a half loaf of bread and peach crisp for dessert.
Uh oh.
It looks like the pie-and-jam primitive eluded her babysitters again.
She knows she's not supposed to be on the internet, as her children and grandchildren think she makes herself--and them--look bad.

16. chicken legs baked on top of mushroom-y rice along with a fresh spinach salad with dried cranberries and toasted walnut.
Also some lovely date nut bread that I scored at a baby shower this afternoon -- my grandmother's recipe.
