Wingnuts v. Moonbats

Just for the hell of it:

1. wingnut

n. An outspoken, irrational person with deeply-held, nominally conservative, political views. A person who chooses on principle to be flagrantly ignorant. A "right-wing nut".

Rush Limbaugh, Bill O'Reilly, Pat Robertson, Jerry Falwell, and Fred Phelps are examples of the wingnut element in modern America.

2. wingnut

(noun) A person appearing to be moderately to severely crazy, disoriented, majobling, see Majoble, jumbled and more often than not, a total mess. A wingnut is a constant source of entertainment to those surrounding it and can easily be found in any type of setting or venue. Example: grocery stores, sporting events, cross-walks, public transportation, school, work…you may even have one in your house.

The wingnut that is suppose to be teaching our biology class is talking to the fire extinguisher and telling it to read 'Paradise Lost' for yesterday's class.

3. wingnut

A person holding political views that the user of the word finds to be extreme, most often extremely conservative. Often combined with freeper to form the term "freeper wingnut."

The wingnuts on your block must have had a fit when you put that anti-war bumper sticker on your car.

1. moonbat

Derogatory term for a liberal activist, implying that s/he is a lunatic. The opposite of wingnut.

Conservative Jones, Boy Detective: You're just in time. My colleague, Glenn Beck, has brought a mystery to my attention! The Fasces is an ancient Roman symbol co-opted by the Fascists. Now look at the back of the Mercury Dime, minted by Woodrow Wilson, and what do you see? It's proof that Democrats are historical fascists!

Moonbat McWacky: Actually, the Mercury Dime predates Fascism by several years, and the same symbol can be found in the Oval Office, Congress, and the Lincoln Memorial.

Jones: Good God, Moonbat, do you know what that means? Fascists have been trying to take over this country... since before they even existed!

2. moonbat

Moonbat (1) (n) Irrational and Mentally unstable persons of a decidedly liberal political affiliation; (2) (n) Someone on the extreme edge of whatever their -ism happens to be.

3. moonbat

"Bat", of course, refers to members of the order chiroptera (with some contending that the "megachiroptera" of South America should be classified as primates), strange and wonderful animals which are beneficial to humanity. Intelligent, well-educated liberals recognize bats as an asset, and seek to encourage them through environmental protection, including the building of bathouses on the outsides of their homes. The ignorant and superstitious hate and fear bats, and can think of no worse insult than to compare people they also hate and fear (out of ignorance) to bats.

"Moon" refers to Earth's primary natural sattelite, which humans visited for a brief period thanks to a massive liberal spending program. The scientific and technological benefits of the Apollo Project were immense, and would have been far greater if the program had not been killed by a right-wing administration that wanted to spend that money on a futile foreign war. Thus, the Moon is, like bats, symbolic of liberalism and all the benefits it brings to a culture, and naturally will be an object of hatred and fear to the Right.

Combine the two and you get "Moonbat"; environmental good sense, scientific curiosity, prosperity for all and the triumph of knowledge over traditional superstition. In short, all the things that enemies of civilization like Osama bin Laden and Pat Robertson hate most.

Love the last moonbat definition.

Call them names if you wish, cali, but don't lump the evil disbarred lawyer Phelps in with the others you named--he's one of yours.

Phelps has run in various Kansas Democratic Party primaries five times, but has never won. These included races for governor in 1990, 1994, and 1998, receiving about 15 percent of the vote in 1998.[35] In the 1992 Democratic Party primary for U.S. Senate, Phelps received 31 percent of the vote.[36] Phelps ran for mayor of Topeka in 1993[37][38] and 1997.[39]

So is cali trying to be a comedian or is she trying to display just how utterly stupid and ignorant she is?

Stupid scrunt ought to be jailed for moonbattery.  :banghead:
Then-Chief Justice John Marshall observed, “Between a balanced republic and a democracy, the difference is like that between order and chaos.”

John Adams warned in a letter, “Remember democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet, that did not commit suicide.”

As is the case with libs, the bitter old Vermontese cali primitive picks and chooses to beleive those things that most closely resemble what they want to believe rather than the truth.    She's living hand-to-mouth but claims to be smarter than us.  That's one of the many obvious issues the kooks can just never make the connection.

I've heard that the term "moonbat" was first used as a derogatory put when talking about George Monbiot, one of the progenitors of anthropological global warming.

But, under the name of ‘liberalism’, they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.” - Norman Thomas, U.S. Socialist Party presidential candidate 1940, 1944 and 1948

Embrace your inner moonbat, cali, in the same way that moonbat women embraced the epithet "slut".
