Obamacare meeting at work today!!!!
The owner of the company where I work called a meeting of every single employee. About 200 people. He told us that he would do all he could to make sure our company would enjoy all the benefits of the program. To say the least a lot of people were surprised, some even questioned if he was being truthful, some questioned if they would be fired etc...

He said his reasoning was simple, happy and in good health workers make his products better. Which in time would make the company more money, and more money for the workers. Everyone cheered.

After the meeting the ten guys I supervise were all huddled together, and were in disbelief, they could not believe the boss truly cared for them. Lets just say there were a lot of smiles at work today.

Well dummie... if true and I don't believe it for a second*, I suspect that very soon a memo will come out stating that your health insurance will now be your responsibility and you should check out the healthcare exchanges. After the business pays the fine, tax, or whatever they are calling it this week, you pay will go up by the amount the business is saving by sending you out to buy your own insurance.

*Now what gave your lie away, dummie? The part where you said you supervise 10 guys. You are too stupid to even manage your own life, let alone the work of 10 others.

He told us that he would do all he could to keepm our jobs, so no one would be fired, but we were now all part time employees working 23 hours a week.He advised any complainers to look to the illegal aliens in the lot outside and said, "There are the replacement workers for pansy ass Obama voters!" We then all got a good whipping and were sent back to work. I don't want to live on this planet any more!

And I'm not as optimistic as Perky.  No way in hell do I expect our company to give us an equivalent in compensation.  No. Way. In. HELL.

I have first-hand knowledge that stupidity is no barrier to appointment to a supervisory position.  Sycophancy and pandering do the trick as well as, or better than, documented results.

Success is a little more difficult as it is more often achieved in spite of a supervisor's "leadership" than because of it.
