Tell Republicans to Do Their Jobs and Stop The Sequester

If you didn't do your job, you'd be fired.
But when Eric Cantor and John Boehner don't do their jobs, two million Americans get handed pink slips.

Right now, House Republicans are refusing to even vote on the sequester.
If they do nothing, a meat-cleaver will chop away, almost indiscriminately,
at essential domestic programs and make life even harder for millions of Americans.

We can't let that happen.
Join President Obama and tell Republicans to do their jobs and stop the sequester.
If we go over the sequester cliff on March 1st, two million jobs could be lost --
including law enforcement, first responders and teachers.
Essential programs for pregnant women, children and domestic abuse victims
could shut their doors.
And the economy could be thrown back into a recession.
President Obama made it clear: "This is not an abstraction -- people will lose their jobs."

Join the DCCC, Democratic Governors, and proud Democrats all across the country calling out Boehner and Cantor before the sequester deadline.

Considering the repukes passed two bills already to stop this, and Dingy Harry put the bills straight in the round file, tell me just who isn't doing their job.

They're using Obama's talking points, i.e. lies, about the sequester.

If those people lose their jobs, it will be because they are the ones that Barry chose to lose their jobs.  If it happens, Barry wants the sequestration to be as high-profile as possible as long as he feels that he can get away with blaming it on republicans.

So dummie... we gonna cut what.. 85 billion out of a 3.7 trillion budget and the world is gonna end? That is the reason why Harry Reid won't pass a budget. Because as long as there are CR's, then the spending is set at the last budget... which was the one with the 800+ billion stimulus in it.

It's all good though dummie. I'd just as soon the US go broke sooner rather than later. Then the fun will start. Especially with all the senior citizens that vote. SS will not get cut. No dummie it will be welfare. Your free ride is gonna end! The only question is will it be sooner or later? I'd just like to see it happen on obumbles watch.

You perpetually unhappy people are gonna get a real education on what being poor really means. Nothing would make me more happy than to see all you welfare parasites rioting and getting your ass shot off on national TV.

I agree and that is why this matters. I do think this is a backdoor attempt to reduce the  military the way dems have always wanted to. Republicans were just stupid enough to fall for this in 2011.

And it's not meaningless; those of us earning livings in this way don't consider a day a week to be  meaningless, particularly when there isn't much work out there to make up for that lost day in this crappy ass economy. Many of which are average americans too who just happen to work in federal employment. Hard working conservatives no less and I hate to tell you all, but the DOD is really getting hit the hardest by this bullshit--not the leaches everyone here claims to hate, but the support system for our military. And everyone is focused on sticking it to the 'evil federal employee'. Yeah, EPA are federal employees, Health and Human Services also, but so too are those that support the military behind the scenes, many of whom would be welcome on this board.

What they'd actually prefer is that after they CHOOSE to shut down some military capability to score points in either sequester or a later budget gap, there would be a mass casualty event caused by terrorists, so they could then blame the GOP for everything.  If that happens I don't think it would turn out that well for them, but I may be severely overestimating the intelligence of the electorate considering on what happened in November of last year.

Oh but they will be just as bad as he is saying. You forget that he has the power to start laying folks off who work for the DOD and other government agencies.
It's like Rush said the optics are going to appear and they are going to make this look like it is something much worse than it could possibly be.
