Hi,
I lived in Atlanta when Ted Turner started CNN and he was a bit unique. His dad died and he took over an advertising company at age 24. He bought a fledgling UHF television station that had a small viewing area and bought the Braves for no money down for programming for his station. He was a true American success story and is considered the driver behind cable television.
When he married Hanoi Jane he did seem to change, as did CNN. While he may have been smart business wise, he sure was not when he married Not Fonda Jane.
When the Braves played the Twins in the world series, as the national TV camera was panning the crowd a banner was unfurled that said, "Ted you can stay, send Jane home!". The camera stayed on it for a second then quickly switched to another camera.
Our shooting club, which has a lot of Vietnam veterans has urinal stickers in the men's room with Jane on them to improve our aim.
I have said many times, the public better not know where she is buried because it is unlikely any grass will grow on her grave.
regards,
