Fixing Chicago
« on: February 22, 2013, 10:44:06 AM »
Quote
Putting all the facts together:

Body count: In the last six months 292 killed (murdered) in Chicago compared to 221 killed in Iraq , and Chicago has one of the strictest gun laws in the entire US.

President: Barack Hussein Obama
Senator: Dick Durbin
House Representative: Jesse Jackson Jr.
Governor: Pat Quinn
House leader: Mike Madigan
Atty. Gen.: Lisa Madigan (daughter of Mike)
Mayor: Rahm Emanuel

The leadership in Illinois - all Democrats .

Thank you for the combat zone in Chicago .
Of course, they're all blaming each other.
Can't blame Republicans; there aren't any!

Chicago school system rated one of the worst in the country.
Can't blame Republicans; there aren't any!

State pension fund $78 Billion in debt, worst in country.
Can't blame Republicans; there aren't any!

Cook County ( Chicago ) sales tax 10.25% highest in country.
Can't blame Republicans; there aren't any!

This is the political culture that Obama comes from in Illinois .
And he is going to "fix" Washington politics for us???

George Ryan is no longer governor, he is in the big house.Of course he was replaced by Rob Blagojevich who is...that's right, also in the big house. And Representative Jesse Jackson Jr. resigned. That's because he is fighting being sent to...right again, the big house!

The Land of Lincoln , where governors make our license plates!!!!

There is only one way to fix Chit-cago...

I think the body count is low?

I'm reading an article in NR "To Live and Die in Chicago."  When the highrises like Cabrini Green were torn down, all the old gangs that sprung up in the 50's scattered and turned into countless factions.  It's like Afghanistan, with each street having its own boss.

I don't see a lot of hope, and Emmanuel has no idea what to do.

You would need a cop on every street who knows the people and a curfew every night. There is also a large drug cartel there working the gangs.  I don't know why they can't get Federal help to take them down.

Back in the day the cops did know the people, but no more.

Everything changes, but not all change is good.

What?

The current Chitcago gang in DC would only make things worse.......Emanuel proves that!

Hard to believe that Obummer has had over 4,000 kills with his drones in other countries but can't put a federal drug enforcement detail in one city.  His city.

They and Detroit are a police force removed from becoming Mogadishu.

C.S. Lewis

A community may possess all the necessary moral qualifications, in so high a degree, as to be capable of self-government under the most adverse circumstances; while, on the other hand, another may be so sunk in ignorance and vice, as to be incapable of forming a conception of liberty, or of living, even when most favored by circumstances, under any other than an absolute and despotic government.

From the color of most of the combatants, it is Mogadishu.

Liberal thinking is a two-legged stool and magical thinking is one of the legs, the other is a combination of self-loating and misanthropy.  To understand it, you would have to be able to sit on that stool while juggling two elephants, an anvil and a fragmentation grenade, sans pin.

Hi,

Businesses and wealthy people are exiting Chicago and the state of IL in droves.  It will eventually be another Detroit.  Those gun laws which were to be the model for America are sure working out well.

regards,

BTW the only way to fix Chicago is to flush several times, it is a long way to the ocean......
