Rubik's cube and Rubik's revenge??????
« on: February 20, 2013, 05:27:59 PM »
OK, I put them away over 30 years ago. I had my own way of solving them but I did borrow one set of moves from the book(pamphlet) "The Simple Solution to/for Rubik's Cube" by James G. Nourse to solve a problem on Rubik's 4X4 revenge. Loaned the book to a fellow and it never found its way back home....like a lot of other books I loaned.

Need the moves for solving the flipping of the last two edge cubes straight across from each other on Rubik's cube. I can flip them "MY WAY" for Rubik's cube and the revenge but I don't get the results I'm looking for on the Rubik's revenge.

Long story but son found them and scrambled them up, no sweat, I've enjoyed figuring them out again but I'm stumped on the last 2 bits of the Revenge and happened to remember that it was a CUBE move from that book that I used.

I never had the Revenge Cube, but could solve the Cube  at one time.  I had it the moves from the booklet memorized.

I never had the Revenge Cube, but could solve the Cube  at one time.  I had it the moves from the booklet memorized.

There were several books out with various ways to solve the 3X3 cube.

Like you I had played with the thing so much that I had it memorized and could solve the cube in under 30 seconds every time. I can remember nor find the set of moves I need to solve the revenge "MY WAY". I have found other ways on the net but just being the jackass I am, I want to do it my way. :-)

I had a Rubik's cube once. Looked at it, threw it away, went fishing.

Payments to foreign governments must be reduced, if the nation doesn't want to go bankrupt. People must again learn to work, instead of living on public assistance.”

Had one and couldn't finish it, so I pried all the pieces off and reassembled it so the sides were the same color.  Never touched it again.

Just an interesting side not.

Justin Beiber can solve a Rubik's cube in less than two minutes.
"The society that puts equality before freedom will end up with neither; the society that puts freedom before equality will end up with a great measure of both."

"Nothing is so permanent as a temporary government program."

"We have a system that increasingly taxes work and subsidizes nonwork."
