Brilliant. I propose 3 X 3 ft. boxes painted on sidewalks with the word RAPE with the "No" red line through it. Right in front of the call boxes.

I pulled into work at 4:50am this morning.  There are "emergency boxes" in the parking lot, but I would have to run very fast just to reach one in HOPES that it actually freaking works.  If I had a "rape whistle" who else would have heard it?  The one or two other people already in our office building definitely would not have.  NO ONE is around... it's a corporate office area with a casino close by and right off the highway.  I wouldn't even be safe pressing the panic button on my key chain.  I'd be much better off pulling out my gun and shooting the asshole.

I would bet all you would have to do is pull out the gun and the would be rapist would run away.

That's what the libs don't understand just having a gun in most cases will be enough to make criminals run away.

Look at Britain, defending yourself carried a greater sentence than murder. Criminals are protected in liberal circles.

Yep, that was my thought too. Many times rape happens for the obvious reasons, but where the rapist finds opportunity to do so without being detected. In that situation nothing short of using force is going to help a female out. And I'm reminded of the many instances where passerbys saw assaults, rapes, etc happen and did nothing. I'm sure those same people are going to come to the aid of a ****ing whistle.  :whatever: I'm amazed all the liberal feminists don't seem to get the point that women in Salazar's world are once again reliant on those around them to protect their poor helpless selves from a violent situation. how on earth do feminists find this empowering to women to be in the position liberals would like to see them in? If anything you would think feminists, if true to their values, would be the biggest advocates for gun rights, particularly for females. Sorry, off on a rant, just tired of this stupidity and the hoards and scores of idiots who buy it. is there a box big enough for a no moron zone?

"We were having a public policy debate on whether or not guns makes people safer on campus. I don't believe they do," he said. "That was the point I was trying to make. "If anyone thinks I'm not sensitive to the dangers women face, they're wrong. I am a husband and father of two beautiful girls, and I've spent the last decade defending women's rights as a civil rights attorney."

House Speaker Mark Ferrandino, D-Denver, called Salazar a "great legislator and a person who has worked hard in support of women.

Rape ?????? What about car jacking, someone grabbing your kid, an ex-that threatens to kill you, a female that wants your purse or your man. 

CCW is not just about Rape, can cover many scenarios, clerk in a store to home invasion.  Out walking or jogging in an area with few people at that time of the day.   More woman are killed due to people they know then for Rape.   More woman are killed for what they have then for Rape.   

Older woman living alone are a big target to both family, friends and strangers.   Friends of an elder may mention to someone that their friend has money or jewelery.   Friends friend mentions this to one of their friends and before you know it the elder woman is a target.    Family member may mention to friend that their Aunt Nelly has buco bucks stashed in the attic.    These elderly woman cannot defend themselves, unless they are trained in how to shoot.

There are different physical problems for woman, a 5 foot tall 90 pound young woman cannot fight off a mugger unless she is half grizzle bear.  A 70 year old woman of same size and weight has no chance to defend herself.   

All females need a defence method, they are our mothers, daughters and grand children.  For the men, they know the workings of the world and some big burly men pack while the females in their family are defenceless.

For Mothers day buy your mother a gun, teach her well how to use it and take her to a range to practice.  Take Grandmother along and teach her also.
