Obama has often had a tense relationship with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu over the Jewish state's West Bank settlement policies and the lack of peace process with the Palestinians.

But Peres and the committee behind the award noted Obama's overall friendship and backing of the Iron Dome missile defense system.

No heads exploding.  Besides the fact that we just never do that, we fully expect liberals to pat each other on the back for things they never accomplished and didn't earn.  If Dear Leader were to get an award for personally ending the Revolutionary War, the War of 1812, the Civil War, WW1, and WW2, it wouldn't surprise me at all, nor would I expect liberals to see anything unusual about it.

Except that given the fact he's in perpetual campaign mode and refuses to govern or take responsibility for anything...he'll be able to blame this on sequestration or the Republicans and the media will then go out and dutifully explain that "in no way and in no uncertain terms does this reflect upon nor have anything to do with the President's stated policy on Israel".
