I wish we could amend the Constitution so that every time there is a tax hike the house, senate and the white house all get a pay cut.

 Know what would even better? If congress and the white house had to take pay cuts everytime the debt ceiling was raised.

Below her dignity? Really? Yet DOD employees are set in their mandatory cuts to lose a day a week for half a year. It's not below their dignity to take a 20% pay cut though right? And one because of the nature of it doesn't allow them to substantially redirect their efforts to make that money up(ie an extended furlough might allow someone to take a part time job that fits within the current schedule of their family obligations) It's not below the troops dignity to not be properly trained and equipped for any potential act of aggression right?

Why aren't these same politicians outraged over the fact that some of the entry level or middle income DOD employees with kids could now qualify for food stamps with this cut? You know the same people who get so outraged that walmart employees qualify for the same assistance?
