If someone did that to my daughter, they would never make it off that plane.

Crying kids can trying a person's patience while experiencing the stress of air travel but there is absolutely no excuse for this. Someone needs to take this guy aside and beat the crap out of him.

Last time we flew, I told my daughter to say her ABC's as we were landing.  She only held her ears for a minute or two.  That was Thanksgiving in 2010.  The first time we flew, when she turned one, she slept to and from our destinations.  I almost never hear crying babies or conversations when flying.  I think I go deaf on airplanes.

I am not justifying what he did, because what he did was wrong!! I will be honest,I have been on 6+ hour flights, nothing is worse than a kid screamimg, running up and down the aisle(parents are oblivious)for 6 hours straight.
What he could/should have done, is go into business or 1st class, not many families can afford those seats....or ask if there are any empty seats and switch ...

Since they were descending, he would have dealth with it for a minimum of haf an hour...
The sea is treacherous, but an even hand on the keel brings it safely to port.

Nothing is sexier than a man and his gun!!!

The slap accusation and using the n word might never happened. Lets let the courts decide. Plus, the eye witness that is 10 rows from them is a liar and probably a sprocket. The mother of the bastard child will probably sue for a million dollars.

With over 1 Million air miles just on one carrier I have seen some stuff on an airplane.

Sat in a 3 seat row once and the guy next to me sat in two of the seats.  (the airlines have a seatbelt connector for these folks)

Seen more than one guy PUKE from too much booze

Crying kids, been next to a few and YES they can make you want to hit the exit door at 37,000 feet, especially me, never had kids.  But I tolerated it for the hours I was on the plane.

In this case, the mother stood up in the aisle with the kid, walking him for most of the flight.  It was when she had to sit down for landing and the plane began the descent that the kid started screaming, something common in very young children, its hurts them...I remember well my first flight in late 1948 or 1949 from Wash DC to to NYC.  It hurt, bad and in those days the only thing you got was gum to chew.

It was the descent that triggered the pain in the young child.  I personally would have a talk with mom as to why she did BITCH SLAP the MoFo that hit her son so hard the man's dog would think he was kicked.

Shoulda slapped the parent.

Why?

Kid's cry on airplanes for all sorts of reasons.  Parent's do their absolute best to calm their crying children.  I don't care why my child is crying, don't touch her.

Yeah. About that.

Some parents might.

Not by a long stretch all of them.

There's a lot out there that are simply oblivious to the doings of their little angels and one encounters them in a variety of public places.

I wouldn't touch the kid - ain't the kids fault.

Children should not be allowed on planes.

 :fuelfire:

I watched a guy almost get his ass kicked for complaining about a young baby that was crying on a flight. It was not one of the parents that were ready to kick the guys ass, it was everyone else at the luggage carousel after the flight ended due to his cold ass attitude. It was a 45 minute flight between Vegas and CA.

The flight attendant had to "lay down the law" to the loud mouth passenger that started to yell at the parents and the baby, which just made the  poor little guy cry even more. It was a $49 flight. It was not that bad. Kids cry, that is what they do. The parents were doing all they could and they were not liking it either. I felt bad for them.

I'm glad they canned his racist ass. Just using the "n" word towards a child is not acceptable in my book.

Quote
"Before September 11, if we asked passengers to remain seated to let those with tight connections to get off first, people would stay seated. Now no one cares. People practically push each other over to get off and on the plane. It's sad to see."

Cell phones and alcohol tend to be the most common triggers of confrontations with passengers. In the past decade, training has focused on the cabin crew's role in defusing a situation to avoid the need for drastic action, such as diverting a plane or calling law enforcement to meet the aircraft, she said
