Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama are meeting Thursday night at an unannounced location in Washington, DC, a senior Democratic source tells FOX News.
There are no details yet on the agenda of the meeting or who sought the meeting, but sources tell FOX News it is taking place at California Sen. Dianne Fienstein’s home.
The meeting comes a day after Sen. Clinton’s campaign said she planned to suspend her campaign and hold an event Saturday to thank her supporters and endorse Sen. Obama as the Democratic nominee for president.
Obama clinched the nomination Tuesday on the day of the final Democratic primaries, in South Dakota and Montana.
In an e-mail to supporters released late Wednesday, Clinton wrote, “On Saturday, I will extend my congratulations to Senator Obama and my support for his candidacy. This has been a long and hard-fought campaign. … I have said throughout the campaign that I would strongly support Senator Obama if he were the Democratic Party’s nominee, and I intend to deliver on that promise.â€
Since Tuesday, speculation has turned to who he would choose as his running mate and whether it would be Clinton.
