Just thought about something! ZOMG!!!!! San Fran 49'ers play at Candlestick! CONSTANT CONNECTION! CONSTANT CONNECTION! 9'ers trying to rule the world! Hippies! Hippies everywhere! 
Hemmmmmmm, I have this power dohinkey in my fuse box and in the kitchen and bathrooms that shut off the power if they get wet or overloaded. Handy little device to alert me to problems that could burn down the house.
I forget that things even when OFF still may pull some power, or so I have been told. Plugged in microwave and refrigerator, can opener and all sorts of gadgets on the same line, then when someone uses a hair dryer in a bathroom. turns on two TVs all on the same line------ the breaker trips.
I remember the old fuse boxes of yester years and when a short occurred some would place a penny under the fuse. Have seen the copper slugs sold in the past to do the same thing.
Workings of electricity are a mystery to me, this is why we need people that understand it, well trained in it and insure that should something go wrong the electricity is shut OFF.
Bought a 100 year old house with these doodads in the attic, white thingies that were used to insulate the wires for electricity. I have no idea how they worked but I remember seeing them in the farm house my grandparent lived in.
This has nothing to do with Nads infructure, has to do with the Union Electrocution's that wired the place.
