O S, I saved my money and bought my first gun at age 12, a 6/7 shot .410 bolt action. The next year I bought a 12 ga. double barrel. At age 15, I bought a 12 ga. pump and a .22 target pistol. At age 16/17 I bought several 8 mm Mauser(sp?) rifles, a few 6.5 Italian carbines, some M-1 carbines with collapsing stocks (some called them the paratrooper model) and a pair of German 9mm pistols.....and thousands and thousands of rounds of WW2 ammunition for all. No background check, no registration, no age limit, nothing .....and I still ain't shot anybody....there must be something wrong with me.
No, I don't have them any more. I sold, traded or they were stolen.....and then there was the boating accident.

Oh this would drive the DUmmies crazy. I was 16/17 years old (1963/64), kid nextdoor was 2/3 years younger than me. He had a .45 cal. fully automatic submachine gun. I don't remember what it was but it wasn't a Thompson. I think it was called a "Spitfire 45"(?). Any way the kid rode around with it in a holster on his Honda 65 motorcycle.......

....little Hell's Angel he was.....

....me and him would go down to an old abandoned gravel pit and pile up some brass....those were the good old days.
