2014 midterm elections
« on: January 31, 2013, 08:56:09 PM »
What do you make of this?

Unabashedly stolen from a forum reply.  :-)

Quote
The 2014 mid-term national Senate elections will see 33 seats up for grabs. The Republicans will be defending 13 seats and will have little difficulty with the exception of Maine should there be a retirement. On the other hand, the Democrats will be defending 20 seats, and Mitt Romney captured seven of the 20 states where Democrats will defend seats: Alaska, Arkansas, Louisiana, Montana, North Carolina, South Dakota and West Virginia. Of those seven, only North Carolina, where Romney won by about two points, was even close at the presidential level. Add to the mix the announcement that Tom Harkin and Jay Rockefeller will retire and Tim Johnson from South Dakota may soon announce his retirement. Scott Brown is the early favorite to take John Kerry's seat. Put all this together with the lack of enthusiasm of not having Obama on the ticket, and the Republicans have a very good chance of running both the House and Senate in 2014

Possible, but not likely.  That being said, Queen Jeanne the Spending Machine of NH is being very, very careful in what she says of late.  She knows no matter who she faces, it's gonna be CLOSE.

There are a couple of blue/red states in there. Montana and WV have a democrat governor and 2 democrat senators, I dont get how they are a couple of the safest republican states in the presidential election but they keep electing democrats to statewide offices.

I couldn't care less.  The only thing that would make me interested in Washington-level politics would be if the Sulaco pulled into low orbit over the damned place and dropped 500 KT on that whole damned cess pool.

Look at Utah.  Hell, look at Colorado.  Some of the most conservative states/areas around until the hippies and other granolaheads starting moving there from CA in the 60's, 70's, and 80's.

Yup they move away from the self created hell in states like NY and CA and infect REd states with their Libtard bullshit.

I do believe that we have an advantage though. I don't think that any Republican state will flip.

Hi,

I think the reaction here is capturing the mood of a lot of us.  We are still frustrated because we put heart and soul into defeating Obama. Someone used the analogy of how the libs felt when they got behind John Kerry and the incumbent Bush still thumped him.  Honestly I think it is similar; however Romney was not nearly as tainted as Kerry.

Guys like Dick Morris and others called for us to sweep the senate and house and defeat Obama and it didn't happen.  I know I am still kicking myself emotionally for allowing myself to get excited thinking it was possible.

So my point is simple.  Between now and the mid terms we have to get mentally turned around and BO is likely the one to help us.  We will get two more years of BO-BS, we will be up to our eyeballs with it and find cause to get out of our doldrums and get going again.

The goal of war is to destroy the enemy and their will to fight.  Right now they are trying to make it look like the Republicans; particularly the conservatives are dead and all but given up.  The libs and press are doing all they can to destroy our morale and will to fight in the next election.

Ain't gonna happen.  As someone said, the libs are low information voters, we are not.  BO will do something to piss us off and we will mobolize even stronger.

For the moment, I am sure I am not the only one who has realized I am responsible for my attitude and I need to snap out of my funk.  We will all get it done sooner as opposed to later.

It takes a lot more than  BO Erkel to get us down.

Regards,

We'll see...the Dems have some master plan to send their best and brightest to Texas in an attempt to turn my beloved state Blue.  :censored:

Obama and Co. are on an all out war against Republicans.  They're even blaming the contraction in the 4th qtr GDP on the Republicans in the House for spending cuts.

They are talking about the sequestration which was an Obama WH idea.

Even Boehner realizes it;

Boehner says Obama's focus is to 'annihilate the Republican Party'

Apparently "Bend Over" Boehner thinks that if he connives with Dear Leader(Piss Be Upon Him) in the destruction of the Republican Party(Piss Be Upon Them, Too)  the crocodile will eat him last or something.

"Bend Over" Boehner qualifies as a "lib" in that statement.

I wish I knew how to use photoshop, because we need to go viral with signs about the midterms and the 2nd amendment.

This is an old one:
