Marco Rubio (R-FL) blamed President Obama for the contraction in the economy in the final quarter of 2012, saying that his big government policies were at fault during an appearance on Fox News Thursday. "We're beginning to see proof in the last three months of last year the American economy shrunk and it shrunk under this president because of his policies," Rubio said. Conversely, economists blamed a reduction in government spending as cause for the economic slowdown. The White House on Wednesday blamed House Republicans' "political brinkmanship" for dragging down the economy. http://livewire.talkingpointsmemo.com/entry/rubio-blames-obama-for-economic-contraction

Rubio has really stepped out as a GOP leader. I've seen him speaking out on these constant smears and issues quite a bit lately.
I'm a little worried about his immigration views, other than that I like him a lot. But we all know he isn't Ron Paul so he can't be perfect.
What don't you like about his immigration plan? I've only heard parts of it. He was on Rush talking about it, but I tuned in late and missed a lot.

Okay not his plan as much as whether he can be trusted to only support it after we secure the border. I worry he could compromise on that. His plan is basically allowing illegals to be given a chance to apply for green cards after they pay a fine and any back tax owed.
Uh-huh. Which "economists" said that?
What reduction in government spending?
